The tie rod end bolt is loose i cant tighten the bolt up again. It was very hard to take off. Did i do something wrong? i followed all the steps. I have a 1969 fatchick.
I really enjoyed your video on the installation. I had been throwing the idea around on insalling these dropped spindles rather than going with the traditional adjustable beam on my VW. I had installed an adjustable beam in the past because I wanted to sit lower but it does change the ride drasticly. Im taking this route seems to save time, money and a lot less work : ) Thanks!!!!
When you lower it like this it rides the same because you don't have to change anything else. When you narrow the beam or get an adjustable beam it rides a lot different. The wheels may rub a little depending on the size of tires you have but if they are the stock 165's just go to a 145 and then they won't rub. If you want fatter tires you will either have to narrow the beam or get wide body fenders.
@steeldragonVW great video did you end up changing the tyres because i have just done the same and mine has 155s on the front and rubs like a pig but also has wheels on which has a different offset and sits the wheels further out was thinking about putting standard wheels on if its drivable until i can get some 145s
