After I went to a vippassna meditation camp, my internal awareness became very heightened and this one time when I almost got into a head to head car accident some how its as if an instant lasted longer than it should have and i could see things in "x-ray". I don't really understand it but it saved me from a possibly fetal accident to a dent on the side of my car. Now it seems to get "activated"in a minor way every time my body thinks it's in "danger". I'm confused about how my body reacts now d
Probably nothing at all to do with the Vippassna meditation as this is a normal mind reaction to life or death situations. We make use of this phenomena in our training so that we can "see before it happens" when someone attacks etc.
i find it happens more and more easily now though, like in situations where it wouldn't normally happen like if someone tried to punch me or something, my whole awareness just goes from the external to the internal and the moment i choose to act i'm in a completely different world, for instance one time a bouncer tried to pull me and as he was pulling i instinctively went into a cat stance and i felt energy go into the ground, and he couldn't even nudge me lol and i was 1/2 his size
PUsh Hands is NOT for pushing! It is for fightijg. YOu never get atttacked in a low stance. REAL push hands is done in a normal stance. If he can't push you in that stance, you are really getting somewhere with your Qi.
When you do fa jing striking is there a time delay for transfering energy into your opponent from one strike to the next. thankyou for your time. Kind regards; MIKE
question, can taiji/pushhands training help me against a bjj fighter. i was easly taking down the other day with a single leg takedown from the clinch position. how does taiji defend against takedowns. also, i live in daytona beach, fl, usa. do you know any good taiji teachers in my neck of the woods. thanks, you always have great videos.
THank you. My reply is always: If you allowed him to get THAT close, then go find another teacher! If he is within your "fighting range" HIT HIM!! I hvae a video called "How To FIght Against A Larger Opponent". Kind regards; Erle
Same answer, if you get into a "clinch" position, then you have lost! pUSH HANDS teaches you to never allow anyone to get that close! You would have already decked him!
