  • thanx for uploading such a great piece...

  • @hutum9 Please, write to me at nahidniazi@gmail.com, and do give me your email address for correspondence. The Best.

  • I have no language to express my feelings about this song. Sipmly, the best of of the bests!

  • So far i remember Naheed Niazi is wife of Musleuddin the famous music director of pakistan but he is bengoli .

  • shobuj

  • It is one of my most favorite songs that make me highly nostalgic. Still it stirs my imagination as it did my adolescent mind in the mid sixties. Timeless as it is, it, I believe, will enchant listeners for ages to come. And with it Nahid Niazi will attain immortality.

  • @sparvez00 I am very much alive, and at present in Birmingham, England. I recorded this song at Radio Pakistan, Dacca (now Bangladesh) in 1960, in the presence of my father Sajjad Sarwar Niazi. The great Music Director, Moslehuddin, composed the amazing melody and wrote the fantastic lyrics. We were not married then. Sadly, he passed away on 6 Aug 2003 in Birmingham. Any questions I can help you with? You are most welcome.

  • @nahidniazi beautiful song.

  • @nahidniazi u have got such a golden voice...luvv this song...nice to see ur presence here...see, people still remembering u even after ages for ur work!!! hats off...

  • old is gold

  • This song was written by Poet Azizur Rahman, composed by Mosleh Uddin and sung by Mrs. Nahid Niazi

  • @akiflubna Moslehuddin wrote lyrics in Lahore before we flew to record this masterpiece at Radio Pakistan, Dacca. His name was not in the official poets list. He did not have time to follow the tedious procedure, as he had to fly immediately to Calcutta to record Hemant Kumar for Humsafar, and then leave for Lahore. Poet Azizur Rahman's name was chosen at random, and it stayed. A 3rd verse was added later by Mosleh and recorded in California for the extended version.

  • such a wonderful song. it bring back my old memories. thank you sparvez00 for uploadinh this song. excellent choice from your part. thanks again.

  • OMG choto belai auntir golai aai gaan ta shunechi...miss BD :(

  • Le me tell you why one becomes emotional listining this song: This is a song expressing pure clean true love. There are only two other songs that I know of exist can be called true love songs. They are Mehdi Hasan's Duniya Kisise Payer Me, and Gita Dutt's Tumi Je Amar.

  • interestingly, while i was searching this song, i came across a horrible and tasteless so called remix with dances and such. why there is a obscene trend to create remix by inept musicians and ruin the old songs because the new generation would never have the taste of the beauty of a song when remixed.

  • Excellent comment! I heard that Naheed Niazi sang this song on condition that this song should not be used in any movie.

  • You are a genius!! Where do you find all those songs surpassing time and space! I get so nostalgic.

This song was an outcome of the effort to combine pakistan inter-wings cultures (Naheedd Niazi's marriage to Moslehuddin was also a news item). I don't know where are they now.

    Thanks a lot Sparvez.

  • true! i don't like old songs remix,if same singer sang his song after long time then its change.

  • ecellent

  • mone pore jai school life er kotha jokhon ghovir raate boshe boshe porar shomoy dur theke vheshe ashtu ei shur anmona hoye jetam,

  • This the only bangla song sang by Nahid Niazi in 60's

  • She also sang bangla duet with Moslehuddin: Ogo Shonar Maye

  • you are right, nice memory or reference! i was young then.

  • Beautiful song miss those days vry much...

  • lovely song

  • Who ever worked on the video he is very smart. Cuz its just nice the way it is and its a beautiful song. any bangali dance would ruined the song...thanks for uploading the song.

  • exactly!

  • is there a way i can rip the audio from a downoaded video??

or anyone know a website where i can DL an old bangla song like this?

  • You surely can by using a video editing software. You may be able to do using the windows media player.

  • i love a software called "free YouTube to mp3 converter", its cool and easy to use

  • Does anybody has any other bangla song sung by her?

  • OMG..I heard this song from my childhood ,but did not know that it is Naheed Niazi's song. Thanks to uploader.

  • I removed Rahid567's comments because they contained vulgar words. You may post again refinig your words.

  • nssss

  • can somebody please post other bengali songs of Nahid Niazi?

I see some comments which are defaming. Kindly refrain from this type of comments. At one time this song was so popular. Have respect for a deceased lady, pray for her.

  • She is passed a way about a year ago,Although she was a Pakistani she sang so many lovely Bangla songs, She was married to Mosleh Bhai

who was fom Bangladesh. She also hand many

Urud hit songs of late 60's

May Allah keep her in Haven.

  • THIS WAS A VERY VERY POPULAR SONG IN LATE

60s. What a sweet voice - this voice is a special gift of GOD. It makes me very sad to know that she does not sing any more. Does anybody has more information about her?

  • ei ganti sunle mone hoy sudur otit theke ek sorgiyo gan bhese asche, tar sathe amar gram banglar nodi, nirjon ratrir akash, bokuler gondho pacchi. gantir bansi mon bissonno hoye jay. gayikar kontho eto romantic o osadharon dorodi bhaba jay na. sotty bole ki ganti sunle mon udash hoye jay ...sudur otit e phire giyechi mone hoy. jini ganti upload koresen onake osonkho dhonnobad. amar gram banglar romantic gan.

  • very good song. i cherish my memories when i hear this song

  • brings back old memories, my mother had this song in her collection, golden song of golden old days

  • Thanks a lot for posting such a nice song. I was searching for this song forever. This is another Bangla immortal song.

  • I think Nahid Niazi (singing) and her husband Muslehuddin (composing) should be honoured by Bangladesh for creating such a classic.

  • I agree.

  • Such nostalgia, brings back so many memories. always wandered what happened to her and why she never sang again.. but isn't it amazing that with this one song she remained in everyone's heart forever? th

  • She fell in love with and married Moslehuddin, the writer and composer of this song, moved to London, and started restaurant business. They are still living in London, I believe.

  • a thing of beauty is for ever. a bundle of thanks for posting this song.

  • thanx

  • A song that I enjooyed first time was at the age of 10 or twelve. Best song to me-- since last 35 years and may be for next thousands year-- I appreciate the guy who arranged to hear again -- Thanks and so many thanks

    BulBul Amir

  • Is this is the picture of Nahid Niazi? What a gorgious lady with golden voice, I had been adored her since my early boyhood. Modern days singers might get inspiration from her and people like us 1000 miles away from the country get back to our motherland.

    thanks Mr. sparvez00.

  • Yes, the lady in the picture is Naheed Niazi.

  • I'm pretty old.... so, I know. Nahid Niazi is non-Bengali. Listen to her Bangla pronunciation. Her husband, Muslehuddin, is Bengali. He wrote and composed this song. They were hit musicians of the time in Pakistan.

Onek Onek dhonnobad gaanta upload korar jonno. Ami chirokal-i Bangla gaaner paagol chhilam. Ekhono tai.

  • Thanks for the information about Naheed Niazi.

The music (shur) of the song, what I heard, was the first time in a Bangla song, that is never before in a Bangla song this music was sung.

There were many non-Bangali persons sang excellent Bangla songs. Bashir Ahmed and Talat Mahmood sang in Bangladesh. Mohd Rafi, Lata, Asha, Usha, Mukesh all sang excellent Bangla songs.

  • What is odd about Naheed Niazi and Moslehuddin is that after their marriage both quit from music world and setteled in London for, what I understand (I may be wrong), restaurant business. What a waist of talents I should say.

There is at least one more Bangla duet she sang, and I am looking for that song.

  • Thanks..Thanks a lot for this Song...

  • Ohhhh;...Fantassstic song.......forever!!!!
