a real jeweller would make the bali beads & turn up the jump rings by hand, after 33 years sat at a jewellers workbench, this video has me rofl !!!!!no skill required !!!!
It's great to see a real jeweler that can make jewelry without those big long fake finger nails that cover up the demo! lol It's so silly they can barely hold the beads or wht ever there trying to work with!
Thank you, your explanations are very clear and your designs are fantastic. Easy and simple and cheap. Don't have to spend alot on expensive crystals!
If you hold your jumprings with tip of your chain nose pliers you take a chance on knicking your wire. Also, take an extra second to completely close your jumprings. It gives a more professional look to your piece.
Great video. Very easy to follow along. What size are the Bali beads? My local craft store does not sell Bali beads, so it's hard for me to tell what size I should order online. Thanks for the beautiful idea!
Thanks for the instructions. Just a little note, please make sure that your hands are in front of the camera all the time. When you're newbie in creating jewelry, it's frustrating when you don't see everything.
this is a great video- precise and clearly demonstrated. some videos miss out a little step which can impact greatly on the end result but this was great. thanks.
I'm not familiar with Hobby Lobby but I took a look at their website and it looks like they may have the beads that you would need. You just need to make sure that the holes in the bali beads are big enough for the rings. I know that FireMountain Gems or Multi Creations which are online suppliers would have them. I also find that bead shows are a great source if there is one coming up near you.
I think that the best place to buy bali beads is from bead shows as you can buy by the gram usually at a discount and you can see exactly what you are getting. You can also purchase online from suppliers such as Fire Mountain gems or Artbeads. Hope this helps! Have fun!
Thanks! They are Swanstrom flat nose pliers that I purchased from RioGrande. They have an excellent heavy duty wire cutter as well. I also just bought some Wubbers at a local bead shop - "My Fathers Beads" in Coopersburg, PA which I really like (almost as much as my Swanstroms) :-)
Thank you Stephanie! I'm glad you liked the video. I am in the process of uploading a two part video on how to make simple earrings right now. Have fun and let me know how your bracelet turns out :-)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! You might also be interested in the video that I posted this weekend on how to make a crystal beaded bead and then incorporate the beads into a bracelet.
This is the best video I've seen on jewellery making. At last, after reading about it 100 times, the video has shown me the correct technique for hardening jumprings. I thought you did it after you cut them off the mandrel but this method makes a lot more sense.
Hey there, Great looking channel, I love this kind of video, I am defently looking forward to seeing more. Take a look at mine if you would like to and subscribe and I will be doing the same keep up the awsome work 5/5 stars for this video for sure
