  • is this bird an imprint? ever try sharptail? great footage

  • Whats this song?

  • Creed- Higher

  • Just started falconry last year how do you get them to wait from above

  • I ballon the birds meaning they fly up to a weather balloon for food. eventually i remove the balloon after they are flying high then have them chase quarry from above after the behavior is established.

  • It's like they are natures heat seeking missile!

  • thank you for your prompt reply

  • thank you for the awsome video. In this clip , I see you using the stooping style with your falcon. My question is, have you used chasing the prey with your gyr/ shaheen close to the ground. if yes, which one you prefer.

I always like this breed mix and thank you for posting.

  • For what I use the birds for I only have them wait on from above.

  • This is the kind of Duck Hunting I Would Definately Enjoy =]

  • on the 1st and 2nd kill... what part of the bird is the hawk attacking to make them fall out of the sky so quickly? and also when they fall to the ground they fail to even try to go back in the air or escape. what injury did they sustain to prevent escape?

  • enjoyed that

  • 2:48 is game is perfect moment

  • awsome vid, got to love a good quality duck hawk

  • an sich gut gefilmt aber scheiß quali, trotzdem: falknersheil ;)

  • i would love to get into this

  • Awsome hunt!!! Congrats!!!!

  • What can I say... WOW! Nice gyr/pere!

  • please put your other vids back on please

  • what happened to all your other falconry videos iceman1169 ?

  • @jb7210 I accidentally deleted them on you tube I'll have to repost them.

  • I am a pigeon flyer and these birds make my hobby a nightmare but i must take my hat of they are truly awsome thanks for the video.

  • That was very nice hunting. Who'd you buy your hybrid from? I don't need a link, a name would be nice though. You going to NAFA 2010? It'd be nice to see this beauty in action.

  • Dave Jamieson out of Reno, Nevada is the breeder

  • This is probably one of the best if not the best longwing vid online. Im a Harris hawker and very isolated from the falconry community do to my location and have never seen a longwing fly. So you can understand my intruige. The words to the song also play perfectly into the vid and i dont even like Creed. I guess that why you chose it. It only something someone who has hunted with bird of prey can understand. Well done and good hawking!

  • This is one of the great video of peregrin stooping on it's prayt. simply great

  • truely amazing bird and the trainer.plz put some more vid.thanx.

  • Amazing & Beautiful that's all i can say.

  • Excellent flights and filming - thank you!

  • this is an awesome video, you are the bird master. (Dylan) :)

  • What a beautiful flight, and an excellent bird.

  • I still don't get why captive-bred hybrids must be licensed. The international migratory bird treaty covers wild raptors, but captive-bred ones are property, in the strictest sense. What's the legal justification? Law follows narrowly constructed principles; if we allow boards and legislatures to make just any law they please, not following legal principles or even Constitutional ones, soon enough they'll be destroying your other liberties. Government should be held to their own rules.

  • Thank you VERY much for this video. Beautiful flight.

  • What a beautiful creature! How long did it take you to train it?

  • That. Is. AWESOME!

  • unbeleivable wow

  • cool!

  • Great video, lovely bird. What is the flying weight of the tiercel? A friends bird (female peregrine) was a deadly duck hawk, even on small, tree surronded ponds in the east. I was watching one flight, where she hit the duck and targeted the wing, breaking it, rather than the body. When she hit the duck, it sounded like a baseball bat had hit the duck. She then landed on her prey beside the water.

  • best in 1:52 amaring

    good uploading

  • amazing video and great choice of music

  • Hey dude, u have got the best bird in the world, awesome flight while diving and closing wings, just like bullet. plz also share how u trained this bird. excellent bird

  • this is the best falcon hunting duck i ever seen thank you very much for this video but i want ask u about who was the person learn this falcon?

    Accepted greetings

    AL-Marri ( QaTaR )

  • I trained this bird.

  • Hey iceman, I'm looking into stepping into falconry and would like to train my own bird. I understand that it is a huge undertaking but I'm 21 and have a small family and thought that this would be something for my daughter and I to do together and enjoy. I live in north central PA just below the NY boarder. Lots of game land for a raptor to fly in. How much does a hybrid bird like yours run for price when you buy them young... so you can imprint them.

  • @Iceman1169

Is your bird more of a peregrine or gyr?

  • @Iceman1169 amazing ,the most fantastic vid i ve ever seen, plz post some more vid, just cant wait to see more of ur vid, this i ve been watchin over and over again.if there is a master in falconry, its u sir, thanx

  • Incredible stoops! Great job shooting this!

  • f**k that is one fast bird, wow!!!

  • next life i want to be this guy...awesome! thanks for sharing

  • That's one fantastic bird!

    And A Grade A Video!!

    Great song choice!

  • Hi ! Iceman, you have an awesome bird ,

may i ask you what kind is this bird ? is it a 50/50 Gyr/Peregrine ? and how can i contact breeder dave jamieson for a similar bird? thanxx and take care.

  • it is a 50/50 Gyr/Peregrine.

    Dave is in Reno, Nevada

    good luck

  • Reminds me of luftwaffe

  • Great Bird, Nive Video!!

  • Iceman, just starting a 50/50 Gyr/Saker male hope he turns out like this bird? excellent!

  • Hi! Iceman, top bird, just starting a 50/50/Gyr/saker male! hope mines as good as this bird. Happy Hawking from Scotland.

  • I have been in falconry all my life and i just moved to the states. Do i need to have a license to practice it here? and what are the procedure to own a Gyr here?

  • Yes you have to get a license. There is a two year apprentice program. After that time you would be able to get a gyr in your 3rd season.

  • I believe you have ot get a license with a purebred bird, but what about a captive-bred hybrid? These aren't covered by the internationa migratory bird treaty; they are simply property.

  • You absolutely have to get a license for the captive bred birds as well as for the hybrids.

  • @Iceman1169 Who says you need a licence?. I have a Goshawk and a Harris. No licence needed.

  • @gargantuanuan In the US it is mandated by Fish and Game

  • @Iceman1169 In the US perhaps, Im in the UK.

  • @Iceman1169 Yes in the us.. Fortunately im not there! Sounds like excessive state control to me.

  • @bobbyboynyc You still need a license, check with Fish and Game

  • @solojuve87 yes. You need to go through a two year apprenticeship first where you would initially start out with a Kestrel or Red Tail until you complete your apprenticeship then you can get get other types of birds of prey.

  • Audio swap, nice...almost 46k views!

  • that is BEAST! how much do one of those birds cost?!

  • absolutly fecking wicked loved the vid

  • cool photos

  • that is a very impressive animal!!

  • Tremendous video. Thanks for posting. May I ask who bred your hybrid?

    Take care

  • He was bred by Dave Jamieson in Reno, Nevada

  • hay 2 more ? dose the pergine cut their thoats and are those widgen or mallard cuase i heard wigen is very popular

  • wow i have trouble shooting them with a shotgun i could not emangine a falcon

  • haha not only does he catch em he plucks em too

  • great vid

  • like the song now the peregrine falcon pimp ass man im only 13 and cant wait to get my liscence

  • slow-mo peregrine stoop = awesome

  • waths the 2nd music? thx

  • this brings back memo of me and my uncle in his back yard... his peregrine lived in his own house in the back yard and it would hunt whenever my uncle wanted it to...we took out ducks but mostly doves...but i think my uncle over does it... he'll be out there everytime he gets a chance to...he told me one time Lazer(the birds name)caught over 30 birds!!!

  • I would love to have the chance to get my falconry license. I can't find someone to sponsor me. I'm limited on money but have plenty of land and time.

  • What state are you located in? Contact a local club within your state. These clubs usually have someone that is an apprentice chair that can help put you in contact with a falconer willing to sponsor you.

  • I live in north Ga.

  • Where do you live? Pretty much every state has a local falconry club which should be able to help you find a sponsor if you are truelly willing to put in the time this sport requires.

  • Are you flying Tiercels or females? I noticed that the bird had the power to carry a kill over water on to land. I fly a 22oz tiercel peregrine. He's starting to refuse mallard after losing kills on the water & nearly being drowned. I'd like to try a Gyr/Pere. Something around the 26oz mark for ducks. I like the flying style of tiercels. They tend, on the whole to mount to pitch better than. females.

  • I am flying Tiercels. If your bird starts to have problem with mallards consecutively they may refuse to fly them. When entering a bird I don't fly mallards on purpose until the second season. Where in the falcons mind a duck is a duck no matter what type.

  • Few things in nature are as beautiful and graceful (and deadly) as a peregrine's stoop.

No hawk or eagle can aesthetically compete with that!

I wish i had the time and the place to raise one of these birds, but as a city dweller i doubt i'll ever have what it takes.

Oh well, good ol' Benelli nails duck and partridge just as well and doesn't need daily training :)

  • what is the of peregrines rofly

  • really nice done m8!

  • POWEWR AND GRACE!!!!Extraordinary!!!!

  • brilliant photography. what camera are you useing?

  • 16k views almost dude! Maverick's a star.

  • awesome feats of speed, agility & control.theres not alot that beats a falcon halo(high altitude/low opening) stoop. top marks for filming. i`ve tried filming my harris with one hand while controling her with the other, boy its hard

  • I was a master falconer back in SoCal. Your videos are awesome. Drowning Pool is a good choice. I'd like to download some of your videos to help people in Myspace. A lot of fans of falconry there.

  • OH!!!! CONNECT!!! the birds like conected. hahah.. its awesome. i love birds of prey

  • I envy you!

  • what the 2. song_?

  • The second song is Stupify by Disturbed

  • What is the advantage of a falcon over a hawk?

  • They have completely different flight styles. The large falcons wait above the falconer where the hawks chase game in more of a sprint off of the glove type fashion. This is just a basic explanation for there are many suttle differences.

  • They hunt different terrain, after different quarry and in different styles. A falcon has long wings for speed and agility while a (shortwing) hawk is designed more for enclosed countryside eg woodland. As an example compare the peregrine with the goshawk. Completely different but both british raptors and masters of their own enviro.

  • terrific! Love it!

  • Deadly .. great footage.

  • how high does your bird go m8? we have a pereXbarbry it flys about 1,200ft somtimes higher rather hard to judge how did you keep up with that stoop? ive tryed so meny times i find it impossable nice stoop was it a instant kill??

  • My falcons average 800-1000 feet as verified with a range finder. There are days when they are higher under the right conditions. Keeping up with the stoop is very difficult. My birds typically bounce their quarry off the ground so sometimes they are alive and sometimes they are not but definitely dazed enough to where the falcon can control them on the ground.

  • yeh looks a nice stoop good filming :)

  • tha last falcon is a juvenile?? i mean the way he flys looks like a juvenile, maybe im wrong

  • No, adult. The footage is all from the same bird

  • Perfect songs for the stoop of the falcon.

  • i cant believe ur bird caught that duck with that hughe pond next to

  • This music is just right for the stoop of a falcon. Right on man!

  • This music goes good with the falcons stoop. Great work bro!

  • No gun shot to chew afterwards either

  • Amazing animal

  • Crazy shit killer music with the Killer STOOP!!!!!

  • Awesome flights! (and while I understand the falconry need, I also hope you never, ever lose your bird -- ain't a fan of hybrids in the wild)

  • 2000'! o_O You should be in Sky Trial.

  • Loved this Vid...5 stars.

  • Awsome bird. Did you balloon/kite it?

  • I've got tone, I've got tone...

  • good stuff,perfect song..lol.

  • i gada get me 1 of them
