  • I love this cat. Some people age better than others. I guess it's genetics. Skin type. You can't beat doing what you like to do and being paid for it. Travelling the world. People always glad to see you. Buying you drinks. Women. Sure beats punching the clock on a Monday morning. Pushing paper around all day while the phone rings off the hook. Busting your butt for mininum wage.

Purple swings. They really do. How can you not like them? "Machine Head" lineup is so good. Lawd have mercy. :-))

  • Roger Glover is the MAN on bass!!

One of the best bass players of all time in hard rock music.

  • U No This Man He Is My Aunties Uncle NO LIES!

  • Roger's the best!!!! However, that was just the end of the solo. Where's the rest?

  • how the hell is his face is still the same as 40 years ago while the others have grown old

  • This has got to be my favourite DP song...wonder why Blackmore had one of his strange ideas and didn´t liked playing it on concerts...

  • Dang I wanted to see him play his solo on that song!

  • Underrated

  • legendary bass player

  • he looks like the friendliest person on earth! and i bet he is

  • @mateivornicu that is a genuine smile at 0:12 . After all those years his job still makes him happy. No pension plan can beat that.

  • UAHSUDhausd Very nice!

  • I'd swear that Glover is playing that differently than he did in '72. There's a note or two that he skipped. Now I've gotta go back and listen to the original recording..

  • Long live Mr Glover and Deep Purple!

  • @MrMuschiato

    ja das stimmt

    long live ^^

  • Awesome pure awesome!

  • where is this sample from ?

  • @33COOLMAN33 classic albums

  • si scrive AT no OF

  • Cool video but very short. Wanted to see more of Glover and his solo.

  • quanto cazzo e scarso roger glover....

  • Spero sia ironico...

  • @RobyPaice89 purtroppo secondo me no......

  • @sdgtime Can you please translate in english or in french (I don't understand italian) ?

  • @titustiti i'm talking in italian with roby paice

first time i sayd roger glover is bad, he reply me his disappoint, second time i sayd glen hughes is fucking awesome bassist....excuse for mistakes if they are present

  • @sdgtime I like Glenn and Roger. Why do you say Roger is bad ?

  • @titustiti 'cause I think glover is bad.....'cause he can't play bass guitar, like glan hughes, and I don't like music style of glover.... :D

  • he flips ya the bird at the end. i didn't know he was a pick player

  • From what video this fragment?

  • @aeronostes Classic Albums: Machine Head, they also do british steel, aces of spades & the number of the beast to name a few, great show

  • @aeronostes is a documentary about the machine head album. It used to be avalaible in youtube, I wonder is it online yet

  • yeah! this is the best bit of the song!

  • Smokin'!

  • 0:12 nice lick

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Roger once after a Deep Purple gig in San Francisco. It was at the in the late 2000's. He went to shake my hand as he was about to sign a album cover. The pen dropped out of his hand and he took his eyes off me. He then said, " Lets try this again, cause when I shake a mans hand, I like to look him straight in the eyes". AWESOME GUY, AWESOME BASS PLAYER!! I will never forget that night. Thank you Roger.

  • i wanna hear also the beginning of the solo =(

  • Yeah Roger!!!!! You are still the greatest! Just in cause people didn't know how important the bass is...

  • He's just being picky.

  • great

  • ohhh yeah roger

  • the best bassist

  • You fucking idiot that's Deep Purples original bassist. I bet he knows how the song is played.

  • some guys might be faster - more technical ability.

but i stood right in front of the stage right in front of roger glover - that man has got the certain something and nobody will reach it!

  • this man is fucking Ace.

  • He played this solo with a Rickenbacker, he's a great loud bass player like John Entwistle, Chris Squier, Geddy Lee, Greg Lake.

  • no it was led zeppelin. it was on whole lotta love i think.."i wanna be your back door man"

  • back door man is a song by the doors AND lyrics in whole lotta love

  • so we were both right :) enough said.

  • No actually your still wrong... go look at the Doors song lyrics that would actually make sense. Compared to the Zeppelin' ones.... on top of that I think the Doors came out first

  • yes i didnt say which one came out first, i just said we were both right. read what i say before you comment..i also said 'enough said' as in..conversation over.

  • Back Door Man is an old traditional blues, which was brought to mainstream by Howlin Wolf and later covered by the Doors.

  • backdoor man is a song by the willie dixon

  • I love you, Roger Glover. I want to grace your sheets one day. I bet you'd be my "Back Door Man", Roger. You and Jim Morrison! *kiss*

  • Anyone who is able to post Roger Glover`s brilliant RING OF CLAY? I have been searching for it for ages!-)

  • Why has he left out the really freaky ascending run that comes before that part??
