FI stands for forced induction. 5AT is better in the sense that an automatic trans can shift faster through the gears than a human can and can also experience no lag between shifts.
This may explain why the R35 GTR was released with an auto trans as well.
listen....go back and do some homework! The gt-r does not have an 'automatic' trans! Your standard tq converter automatic does not shift faster then a manual car!
Donnyboy (with 2 y's) The GTR is not a true manual! There's nothing wrong with its gearbox. Granted its not your typical slushbox, I would call it one of the most advanced auto trannies in the world and if you disagree, post up the model # and link to its stats for us all to see for ourselves mmkay. @tiguy99 G35 Automatic Transmission doesn't shift that fast. And The GT-R R35 actually does use a clutch.. so it's considered "manual"
But I owned a G35, especially in tip tronic mode.. I'd get some pretty bad lag. And I shift much faster than the G35, btw.. you do lose more power with an automatic transmission than manual.
Btw, those drag cars you were telling to Donnyboyy28.. they have a fully built automatic 3 speed transmission or w/e, and a LOT OF POWER. Lol
