  • Just attempted this and totally mucked it up..think my chocolate was too dark 90% and 99% coco..aside from this I'm pretty sure my caramel was not caramelised enough..chickened out at the last minute cos I thought it was burning..AND...I used oat cream instead of animal cream because I do not like it..this appears to have separated ...result..greasy looking flattened almost black blobs...Ah well back to the drawing board......

    Oh come on, don't say you haven't tried chocolate and salt. Any good (dark) brownie will include salt. Fatty bitterness goes extremely well with salt, just think of peanut butter.

  • This is a great video, but after trying the recipe today, I was disappointed. I could only taste a chocolate and salt, no caramel at all. However, I did use very dark chocolate, 85% or so percent. What is the recommended percentage? However, the coins were still good, because, let's be honest, they're basically solid chocolate.

  • two hints for the caramel cause i've messed caramel up so bad-alway use a pan much bigger than you think you need-when you add the cream if it boils over you'll never have a more agravating mess on your stove top-also use a temp safe silicon scraper-a standard will melt in a second-trust

  • I just put these in the fridge to set! i had a spoon wwhile it was still melted and with those few crumbs of sea salt, it really kicks it off... incredible and so easy! :)
