This really is a classic song...beautiful lyrics, and of course Martin's voice is gorgeous. Dave and Martin are both fantastic singers. Dave's voice is so rich and full. Martin's is so melodic. I think DM fans are LUCKY to have two great singers. Just my opinion.:)

Martin said in an interview around the time ULTRA was released, that he doesn't write the soundtrack to Dave's life. He said he has a hard enough time expressing his emotions, and when he is able to write his emotions down in a song, he then doesn't want to explain what was so hard to express in the first place. So this song isn't about Dave's drug addiction. I feel it is about drug addiction, just may not be about Dave's drug addiction. Martin's voice in this song is full & rough. Like it.
