take off the gloves and hit the bag like a man...Are you aware that the medical community has a term directly related to boxers who fight without their gloves on?
It's called a 'boxer's fracture' and it's a fracture in a hand bone from punching.
it's good to train in heavy gloves (16oz.), so when you fight your hands feel lighter (they'll probably issue something lighter to fight in)
not wearing gloves on the bag can make your knuckles more dense, but you don't want to injure your hands or wrist (your punches look powerful), so you might just try some rounds w/ only wraps.
Hey, that's pretty good. The only thing i'd recommend is work on distancing, especially when you move back after throwing your combos. Personally, i'd recommend stepping off to the right or the left rather than moving back. Also, I think you probably should step in a bit before you fire that left hook(but that's a personal taste thing), and I'd work on mixing up your jab combos(double jab, triple jab, double jab then step off to the side, etc.), and working the body!
I only watched about 2 and a half minutes of it before I got bored (no offense, I'm just avoiding homework atm). My only advice/comments have kind of alreayd been said. Kicks look real stiff (good balance though) and try working some more combos, as well as getting that back hand in more.
Might just have been what you were drilling for though.
Just a couple tips. You should relax your shoulders a bit and also get a bit more distance with your punches. Also, your elbows kinda come out as you punch. You kicks could use some work as well. Besides that, i would probably avoid fighting you.
Wow...wow! I can't believe you don't know why I posted this. Are you a girl or something? I mean, it's ok if you are, I just want a reason why your bench is so low.
I wouldn't worry if your kicks didn't look perfect in this. It is harder to pivot the base foot when you're wearing sneakers on a floor like that after all.
I love these responses that inevitably appear in every single MA-related video on Youtube. Your gun won't do jack shit if you're suprised or you don't have time to draw it, or you live somewhere where you can't carry a gun.
emevas you're stuffing your punches by being too close to the bag. Your elbows are also coming up in your punches, keep them tucked! You need to put more hip and shoulder into your punches than you are, it will help with getting tired. And put more hip rotation and body into your kicks.
Like I said, you need to get that swelling checked out. It sounds like a serious medical issue.

Yes, you should consult a doctor immediately. It sounds like you have some sort of allergy.

Your comment makes no sense. Are you saying I should hit the bag without gloves and get a boxer's fracture or not?

I'm not wearing wraps in this video. I found switching to wraps to be more beneficial, as witnessed in my previous vids.
Again, I don't really care about having dense knuckles. It's not going to make me a better boxer, having better boxing skills will.

o. but don't u wear wraps inside your gloves?
they keep ur fist together and absorb sweat, easy to wash.
ironandsilk 4 years ago
Again, in this video, I did not have them. For the rest of them, I did.

As much as I appreciate you trying to make me feel better, it's ok. I haven't worked kicks in a long ass time.
Although yeah, sticking sneakers suck.

Nice work man, nice to see those 20 rep squat results...
i'm no pro, but from what i've seen from guys who attend my muay thai class, your kicks could use some work.
