i wash my clothes myself... but my Problem with cleaning my room Is that I don't like it Either.

And all the stuff that's on my desk.

I can look thru all the paperwork for maybe 1 night, But then something happens & i just make one big mess of my desk again.

it's like, those things u just don't wanna see....

it's safe to say that cleaning ur room is kinda like acting u have to get a certain act together to get urself to sorting all this stuff out that makes u wanna drop dead!

it's not easyy moving everything around, confronting urself with the big pile of dust under your bed... but it's reality.

so i'm gonna put my mind to it & give it a goood shot tomorrow!

It won't be fun & sometimes when i clean my room i get caught up In serious thoughts of self acceptance & even a tiny bit of fear.

There's more than meets the eye & cleaning ur room can really unveil that

i don't understand.... anyway, i started my room cleaning programme just now.

dividing into sections first step. bed, floor, desk, closet, dresser, bookbox, sink...

Just this step already helps alot!

But i'm gonna have to write it down on Paper instead of typing in Word bcuz I rly need to make clear lists of dividing & assorting.. xcuse me if me english isnt so perfect I'm dutch :P

LMAO, my room used to look like this throughout my middle school years: COMPLETE tornado zone! Then our house was foreclosed on, so we moved to a trailer. My room didn't get as bad as it did before, but I still didn't clean it often except like... once every other month. We recently moved again, and now I've been maintaining a policy of attempting to SOMEWHAT clean my room every week. :) Life feels so much more sane when it's clean! <3

^_^ im 15 and my room is always tidy idk how i do it but ill give you some tips :

i always switch some beat up music my favourite cleaning room music is "Move your Feet by Junior Senior"

i always wear comfortable pjamas while i tidy up so your clothes dont get all sitcky and clutches your skin making u hot and tierd and this will ruin ur tidy up session

before starting tiding ur room watch "tidying my room" videos on youtube to get you motivated

make a tidy up route (contiued in a selfreply)

i always and i mean always treat myself to a bowl of ice-cream after a tidy up session if i do really good i allow myself to have sprinkles and other stuff on my ice cream

after tiding up your room you should realise how awesome it looks when its tidy and youll want it to stay that way dont start little messes cuse then youll regret it and have a junk yard in your room again XD and belive me youd hate it

@Boodlebug13 I have a really hard time starting--that's the hardest part for me but once I start I stick with it for at least a few hours. Definitely music, that's the number one thing that helps me not think about how boring it is to clean. And maybe to motivate yourself to start maybe you can think of some kind of treat to give yourself when you finish? I honestly feel like I have to force myself to clean some days.

One tip I have is that if you spend 5 minutes each day picking up your room, then when you go to really clean it well, then you don't have quite as much to do. That's what I do and it really helps. :)

You had a great idea! I split my room into about 6 different areas and gave myself 15 minutes per area and finished. Most of the areas I finished before time was up.
