the 3/4 of the the cable b16 trannys are long ass geared because they where geared for the heavier integra xsi or integra rsi (s1,j1 and jdm ys1). the little 1/ 4 that where left out where the ones for the jdm civic and crx (y1) and those are not long geared trannys , they simply just rock with a simple b16 or b18. get a y1 for a simple b16, if your going turbo, ls vtec or b20v get and ls tranny or the other jdm integra ones. they will rock bolted up to some torque
my jdm b16a cable tranny topped third at 88-89mph it was an S1. 5th gear at 70 ish was 4k rpms = loud freeway driving I bet you have/had fun driving this regardless of the tall gears in your transmission
The obd0 b16 trans are longer than the obd1 versions. The shortest geared transmissions available stateside for cable are the integra gsr (b17) transmissions.
Yes, still OBD0, JDM b16 and cable trans, CTR Cams, skunk 2 intake manifold, 68mm TB, intake, Greddy exhaust, adjustable fpr, Hasport Motor mounts, short shift, Act Clutch, more that im forgetting.
