Yeah, Donnie Shearer made the hilt and put it together with a Del Tin.

So it is a ribbon hilt! I wonder if the Del Tin blade he currently uses is the same as the one used on the old MRL baskethilts? They used Del Tin blades as well. I actually have a bare blade from an Atlanta Cutlery sale. I'd like to get a ribbon hilt put on to mine.

Actually, he has these made exclusively for him by Del Tin to replicate the characteristics of the old Highland blades- although they still aren't as flexible.
