he said receiver is the mirror, it is an amplified photo diode, the trick is to have reflective gloves like 3m. Diamond reflective tape to optimise the reflection.

What's your hardware arrangement for this laser harp? Your site seems to be 404, but I really like to try my hands at building one of those things. I guess a 5mW green laser isn't going to cut it, maybe with a lot of smoke, and wearing white gloves does help, that's the trick Jarre pulls as well ;)

Le capteur se trouve près du miroir. Il s'agit d'une photodiode amplifiée. Le "truc" c'est: des gants rétro-réflechissant (comme les baudriers de sécurité) qui optimisent la reflexion. Ce qui permet d'avoir une bonne réponse de la harpe comme tu l'as constaté.

Ok, is that thing real or are you just striking the beams from the laser in time to JMJ's music? - whatever the case it looks cool. I have a 200mw DPSS laser that could be used to make a laser harp. If yours does pick up your hand position, how did u do it??
