i love the flim to this song it is fantastic barry evans is so g8 in the lead role if you have'nt got this flim it is a must have buy a 1960s masterpiece.
@irishrogue61 Hi there - the Film's called: "HERE WE GO ROUND THE MULBERRY BUSH" (1967) starring Barry Evans - And that is the Title Track from the Film. It's from a lot happier times - wish we had those today.
@retrospecta2010 Hi there! Oh Wow - that's AWESOME that they're FINALLY bringing it out in DVD/Bluray - it's about time! This Film is a GEM - Life was just GOOD, NICE & Such Fun back then - even though it was not my era, I wish I could have lived and experienced back then! Maybe someday we'll have Times like those back again - the Creativy was OVERFLOWING! Stark contrast to Today's Music.
Great Video! It was nice to Chris Wood singing vocals as well being a musician. He was quite enthusiastic. I really do miss him and Jim Capaldi. Unfortunately, Traffic will never be together again
I guess when T-Bone Walker was recording he went back to his hotel room and said to himself "I loved the session but what it really needed was a bassoon solo".
I watched this movie and remember it featured Spencer Davis Group ans an actor who later played James Herriot (Christopher Timothy) or am i wrong?Of course i'll look it up when i get the time. But I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.Won't they?
@aussiemush87 You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT - Christopher Timothy later went on to play Veternarian 'James Herriott' in the BBC Production of 'ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL'! Good Catch!
Dave Mason was involved in the original recording, but of course he's not here. And it's interesting to see Chris Wood (who rarely even sang backup) lip-syncing to vocals that he may or may not have actually contributed to.
Notice at around the 1:18 mark Chris Wood go like, oh yeah, this is my cue to pretend to play the flute in sync with the original recording. Hilarious :D
This film is amazing and this song is so uplifting, psychedelic, and joyous.

You know when a rock song is going to be pretentious crap - someone with a flute turns up. Sigh. Triangle solo anyone?
BillKendall6 2 years ago
The flute sounds pretty beautiful to me but then again I don't think this song is pretentious crap, sigh.

I also hear where Paul Weller is coming from in terms of his solo vocal style. Steve Winwood is great.

I did remind me of Paul Weller. I thought this wouldn't be out of place on "22 Dreams".

it's the 60's, lol. At least the singer isn't lip-syncing to dead man's voice (it has actually happened with one band)
