  • I went to your Mark page! Guess I should sign up huh?

  • haha you should BUY from me. I'm about to do a video tomorrow on mark products. I'm having a huge sale also.

  • Coolio make sure you do live demonstrations on Mason!

  • Good for you girl - tough working and mommy-ing all at once - hats off babes!

Listen...no criticism..but I agree about the starting sentances over.....it is difficult to listen to. I think work through the stutter, if you can.

And you don't pull faces when you say your 's' and 'f' words - you just get stuck - but that's not a secondary ffs.

  • Hey girlie Congrats on starting your Mark Business! Good Luck! Where's Mason?

  • thank you! I did a video with her first, and it was too small for youtube, so I had to redo the video. btw...John got up once last night! I actually slept!!!

  • no it was too much coffee in this morning

  • You were restarting sentences more here than I've previously seen. Is this new mom stress showing up in your speech?

  • wow starting over a lot for real! Other speech pathologists and stutterers please chime in on my opinion - i suggested to her to try and just go ahead and stutter instead of starting over and i only say that because she doesn't have a lot of physical struggling when she blocks. The only time i think habitually starting over like this is "ok" is over the phone if she typically has long silent blocks or if she had a lot of physical struggling which she doesn't. Any comments anybody?

  • Hey I'm a non-stutter, I have a question about what you were mentioning? What is a block what do you mean and also about the physical struggle? Also, what causes a block or repeating of sentences? Just curious! Thanks!

  • Some people who stutter have lots of guestures like jerking their head, blinking, tapping or whatever making their stuttering look really severe, but it really isn't technically part of stuttering, just a secondary behavior. Problem is that it can be a negative in social situations with non-stutterers. If starting over a lot causes less appearance struggling to get the word out, I'm all for it. Our Miss Dani here doesn't seem to struggle much so i'm trying to get her to stutter and not repeat.

  • merietta - I still like you even tho your a bulldog fan. LOL

  • But still it is easier to listen to her when pebbles82ul starts over a lot like in this post than when she has big blocks and twists her face on her Ss and Fs. So, as a complete candide viewer, I would not ask her to stutter more and not start over.

  • Kditron, it depends. In therapy its useless to let people use their fluency tricks. Since her page is about stuttering in the first place and her physical actions are not really bad (it could be much much worse) its my suggestion for her to go ahead and stutter when she makes videos about stuttering! I think S and F words are the ones she has the least control over right now and that's why she just goes with it instead of starting over. But who am I LOL! Any comment Dani???

  • It's a habit now to restart. Its kinda hard to stutter naturally, I guess that's my way to get thru it. I have to way to explain it but my brain is mush right now. Lately, I have been under some stress. it's not new mommy stress believe me. it's other stress I will not go on youtube about.
