if you watch carefully when gordon is aproaching the tunnel, gordons wheels are going backards

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Gordon's express train has decreased in the number of coaches over the years? His train has five coaches in these early episodes, but then it goes from five to three and two in later years. Perhaps there are fewer passengers, or is Gordon possibly getting weaker as he gets older?
