@Aussiegirl265 yes but have you been there? Minimum wage in Mexico is 13 times less than the average American min wage. When she speaks of women that need jobs, many of the women in this position work that kind of job because they have no other choice. That doesn't make it right or like anyone is doing them a wonderful favor. So they get their supplies for free, they pay practically nothing for labor...and then charge obscene amounts for a bag.

Ella no los hizo, los hacen artesanos Mayas en Mexico y es papel asi como de dulces y papitas que nunca se utilizo, o sea que esta limpio y ahi lo van intercalando. Aqui en YouTube hay un video de un hombre haciendo eso, doblando los papelitos y entrelazandolos.

@zelletheband Actually the wrapper materials come form misprinted or misrun magazines and candy wrapper manufactures. The materials are new but would have been dumped in land fills because they may have a printing mistake or have been printed crookedly ... etc.

guys if you want one of these and can't make your own, i bought a mickey mouse wallet size one from Tj Maxx for around $10. and i saw them the other day at Marshall's so check your local stores like that for cheaper ones. [they are the same brand too!]

I like the butterfly black and white one towards the end of the video... My sister makes these but we're not mexican. My fave one she made out of gold wrapping paper, put swarovski crystals on it and a thick gold chain for the strap. After seeing that everyone wanted her to make one for them.

@Kellye8498 You can buy these purses at QVC as well. Not sure what size you were looking at but all I can say is that I love my Nahui Olin bag. It is wearable art and people never hesitate to comment and ask where I got mine. I have even had men compliment it... If you are hesitant I say go for it! You won't regret your purchase.
