@Dragonball4eva what is post-rock anyways. if youve heard any interviews with the so called post-rock monikers they've announced that there not trying to go for that sound at all and dont even listen to the same music. as a matter of fact EITS admitted they consider themselves as a rock band and think that critics just made the word up just to slap a lable on it. so the questioned to ask is what is post-rock to you or what did the musicians intended it to be?

@chumbscrubber42 Math-rock bands don't ever admit they are math rock bands (Hella and Don Cab both have stated many times that they aren't math rock, even though they are the godfathers and definition of the genre). They just don't want to be pigeonholed. Of course they are post-rock. Look at the definition of the genre, then listen to these bands. Of course they are. I don't really care about it, I just thought I'd point that out. If I make indie music but say I'm not indie, it's still indie...

@Colenelly you have a right to categorize the artist and put restrictions on yourself as just an "indie rocker", but just remember we all borrow from each other when it comes to influences, you can say its still indie but indie came from various influences so you are borrowing from everyone at some point. but having these categories is telling us to separate us further because music isnt a universal language and we only borrow from a limited resource, are artist not free to challenge the viewer?
