Vastly under-appreciated album in my opinion. personally, I'd just lost a job (closed down) and learned that one who I thought was a great friend wasn't. Had to start over again. Broke and bruised. New job's manager was often mean spirited. Needed the money. Soldiered on. Listened to this CD everyday on my bus ride to a job (situation) I hated, hated, hated. Got by. Moved on to job I loved, loved, LOVED. The Preacher's Wife is, to this day, one of my touchstones when i get even a little bit low
