  • im a guy who wants to be an architecture / what did you learn in year 2 in the university?

  • Gr8 work!

  • good, but you should have used iRender nxt plugin. it will make it look way more realistic. nice music

  • Thanks dude, yea the problem was, when i made this video, some 4/5 years ago, sketchup had just been released and there was no plugins made for it, infact it wasnt even owned by google, it was owned by a company called "at last softwares".

  • @cableguy11 wow that's a long time ago. I beat your presentation was a big time hit back then, guessing sketchup or sorftwares was seldom used then. NICE

  • Yea you are right, no one knew even what sketchup was, so this by doing this video, it got me a firstclass ticket to an A.

  • badly camera view point

  • such a sexy video, i just recommended one of my facebook group peeps to take a look at it because its wowaweewa!

  • hey,

i was wondering how you added the music and put this clip on youtube?

  • hi

i added the music using windows movie maker, and the you tube bit, by just clicking upload video.

  • @KizzaNizzaDizza windows movie maker

  • when u zoomed out and u could see the building and the landscape thats what impressed me

btw whats the name of the song?

  • Hi thanks for the comment, the song is called

Salt water and its by Chicane

    cheers

  • thanks for that

  • damnn, how many hours did that take you????

  • You RULE at sketch up

  • yeah its a box

  • dude you should have dimmed the lights during the review at 58 secs in, stripped off you dress clothes and just danced instead. Much better than my 2nd year projects, though it feels a little compartmentalized in the atrium space. And kind of a brutal aesthetic

  • yea i agree, when i look back at it, i think to my self, "what the hell were you thinking, but i sepose at the time, it was prety ok"

    cheers for the comment

  • Nice

  • Did you do the animation just by compiling the slideshow? how did you get different scenes to have different delay times?

  • architecture is the life

  • you can render vith podium plugin or IRender.

You do not have to go into complicated programs for good presentations. You just learn to manage SU. The possibilities are endless. Nice work apart from a flickering surface, that means that two surfaces are overlapping needlessly.

  • at the time this video was made, there was no such thing as podium or IRender. sketchup wasnt even free, it was still owned by @last.

    But thanks for the comment

  • IIIII LOVE IT!!!!!

  • hola quisiera saber como hacer esa calidad de animacion yaque yo cuadno realizo la animacion es muy lenta

  • awesome!!!

  • What a shame... Such very nice model, and no rendering with lights etc..

Try moving to a professional program. No sketchup.

    It would be very nice.

    But now it's nice to.;)

  • sketchup is way underrated as a development tool. Yes Viz or 3Ds does a more complete job of rendering the work, but for architecture this is a great design tool precisely because its much quicker and lighter than those programs.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!That is so awsome man, you ROCK~!!

  • Was this filmed on a hoverboard, and how have you developed the power to pass through objects ?

  • how did u add the music?

  • how did u get such good quality resolution??

  • if you click, file, export, animation, options, then u can choose the resolution etc...

  • killer sound duuuddeee

  • Good stuff, but

Wait until you see my movies.

    HOLMINATION

    sketchup pro

  • when i made something like that size, it was extremly laggy when i tried to rotate around, did it do the same thing with yours?

  • you might have to change the frame rate, to a higher one, something like 24fps. that should be smoother.

  • thanks

  • that was 100% friggin beutiful!

  • great work. the animation was consistant and sleek

  • waaauuggggghhhh

  • Great work Seyed Emami. I really like the kithen area and the use of colour to emphasize parts of your design.

I also do 2nd year Architecture and have just completed my first Sketchup animation the other day. it's of a country house I designed for my mother, I hope you have the time to take a look, I uploaded it on to youtube, it's called "The Kimihia House".

All the best with the remainder of your studies.

  • Nice work!

  • Oh never mind number 6 is free

  • On the free one can you still make a city or a inside?

  • Nice presentation :) i use sketchup for quick presentations. but for a better render i preffer 3D studio max.

  • Great presentation! Music is also great. Only at 2:39 you can see that the road is above the pedestrians area.

  • You must have a brilliant Video/Graphics card for it to render all that stuff quickly.

The work is brilliant, i couldnt ever design something like that.

    I might Try.

    \m/

  • i'm a second year archie too. but my projects look way different from yours! where do you go?

  • reminds me a lot of the architecture seen in the movie 'london' if you've seen it... thats about as analytical as i can get for now.

  • Did you intend on having different colours of glass? Makes it look a little 'bitty' if you know what I mean, to have orange, blue, green and darkened glass all in the same building. Would have looked better aesthetically if you had kept it consistent throughout the structure. What grading did you get for it?

  • hi, yea different colour glass was intentional, to highlight diffrent elements of the building.

sketchup is available for free, but the free version doesnt allow animation, the one i used was sketchup pro, slightly more options than sketchup google (free). the grade was 65% from what i can remember.

  • Yep, someone at my school did something like this on sketch-up. Is it freeware?

  • It is free but the pro allows you to share your data around the world i guess Google SketchUp

  • You are a great designer if you made that. That is really cool.I just got sketchup and im trying to figure out how it works.

  • hi thanks for the comment, yea its prety easy once you get the hang of it, if you like this one you should chek out my other video which is a combination of renders and animation. thanks

  • Really Really GREAT - A superb use of the modeling program with an ATTITUDE -- Sketchup

Keep up the great work - This is the way to do presentations.

    ( : ( : peter

  • that is absolutely brilliant! i bet your a top architecture sutdent eh?

  • Its called Saltwater and it's by Chicane.

  • thanks!

  • pretty cool.

    hey, what song is this?
