1. The classes are not overpowered. Paid get whats called freeform. That allows a player to pick and choose his abilities from different classes. Picking the best of each. Making paid players op.
2. yes alot of players are gold...simply cause u can get the game now for like 5 bucks with the free month gold...plus the fact that gold players freeform builds are so op.cont--
3. some quest can seem long, but thats the way it should be. People even now still complain they dont have enough to do cause they want to zip right thru it..and then complain. This isnt wow where its just a race to endgame. Oh i got to 50 in 2 days...lol..it took you a month...your a noob...kind of thing.As far as you example..Im still relatively new but have yet to come across a quest where i had to kill 200 of anything...most was 20 that ive seen.

@khatack No, you can PLAY the game with a free to play account. And what do you mean 'more basic stuff'? Costume Pieces? Freeform powers? Adventure Packs? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that all MMOs have those, so they are not basic. And I played with a silver account and still thought it was fun, despite its restrictions.

I try and try again to get back into CO, but there really isn't any reason to go past the mid 20s on every character. They need more tiers of powers, as nearly every character concept you come up with is complete before the 30s....
Are the servers still down or something? Everytime i try to launch the game the patch button turns gray and it says account error or something like that. Is anyone able to get on right now?

End game from WoW is lame. It's just full of nerd raging about what gear should of been yours, it wastes times, it makes people stop going from work and even abandon their babies in the bath. Wasting 10 hours per day to advance in some raid group and to get into higher raids you need to get better gear in the easier raids and then you feel like you're skilled for having fucking gear. That is not skilled. There is a lot more skill involved in CO.
@Slicked96 I do agree. I love that It's free now and It's great with a controller! You're forgetting about EVE Online though. EVE Online is definitily for really hardcore people (or at least people that are hardcore fans of it), but some of the people probably are if not at least seem nerdy in it :P
I am getting this game. I loved city of heroes and I see this game as a major step up from it. Nice, well, I decided I won't buy the game since people I know stopped playing after they got to level 10. They said it gets boring quickly, back to WoW I guess.
If you have a Sony Vaio, any model, you should be able to run this this game with NO lag on some lower settings. The only thing lower settings will do is take a hit on the graphics, but not a big hit. So yes, you should be able to run it fine.
Cryptic is breaking records on how fast an MMO can be run into the ground. Whoever is in charge is incompetent. Save your money folks and stay clear of this game.

Not really. There is a single power that every character starts with, a power-charging ability. Essentially, stamina is gained by attacking with this power, and it IS auto, once activated. If your stamina is getting low from activating regular attacks, defenses, etc., you can use your energy-builder to charge back up and keep fighting. The energy-builder will continue to fire (between manually activated powers) as long as you have the toggle active.
It is not canceled, it is on hold. It's true because of Microsoft but to shed more light on it, the reason is because they have never had a MMO on their XB Live service and an MMO is very different than say, hosting and pairing up people for matches in Gear of War or Halo. MMOs are constant worlds. Microsoft has been having trouble getting this all setup and ready for this game. I wouldn't be surprised if this game moved over to PS3 but that would suck for 360 fans, including me :(
That was probably one of the worst reviews I've seen so far for the game, talked about the game for about 2min. Rambled through the rest of it.

What makes me Pissed about this game... Three reasons...
1)Too many overpowered Free classes. Some are stronger than Payed
2)Like 4/5th of the characters are Gold Characters...
3)Some quests take way too long... Example: Kill 200 of ___ In ____ ____

And then there's the rather basic stuff you cannot get even if you pay for it, like quality content.
CO entertains one for about a month tops, then it's old news and the charm is lost forever.

it's because it's a quick money scam, that's all it is man. Champions online is a game that was getting worked on for 18 months, after 18 months they pushed this piece of shit out and charged people to play it. Cryptic actually had the gull to charge for this, while I fell for it of obviously, I only spend $15 on it and wont return to this piece of crap game.

nnot really you pay for new content mmos that do not have a monthy fee usually have a cash shop which makes the game unfair. bottom line If you pay for it itll be alot better

Well, I can only run it on low graphics, but the game still looks nice..

Nice, well, I decided I won't buy the game since people I know stopped playing after they got to level 10. They said it gets boring quickly, back to WoW I guess.

If you have a Sony Vaio, any model, you should be able to run this this game with NO lag on some lower settings. The only thing lower settings will do is take a hit on the graphics, but not a big hit. So yes, you should be able to run it fine.

Not really. There is a single power that every character starts with, a power-charging ability. Essentially, stamina is gained by attacking with this power, and it IS auto, once activated. If your stamina is getting low from activating regular attacks, defenses, etc., you can use your energy-builder to charge back up and keep fighting. The energy-builder will continue to fire (between manually activated powers) as long as you have the toggle active.

It is not canceled, it is on hold. It's true because of Microsoft but to shed more light on it, the reason is because they have never had a MMO on their XB Live service and an MMO is very different than say, hosting and pairing up people for matches in Gear of War or Halo. MMOs are constant worlds. Microsoft has been having trouble getting this all setup and ready for this game. I wouldn't be surprised if this game moved over to PS3 but that would suck for 360 fans, including me :(
