all guardian has to is close the gap, his damage will be greater than the sorcerers in close range, the knockbacks and stuns will fuck him up and set his victory back a few but if he keeps the distance closed over and over again the pressure will be on the sorceror and eventually he'll go down, guardian ftw

I think the sorcerer can win as long as he is smart and maintained distance.

However if the jedi guardian jumps the sorcerer and gets in that first hit it could go the other way rather easily.

Looks awesome! I really hope they don't go absolutely nuts with the story, that would alienate gamers like me who come mainly for the action and player versus player. Being an advanced Star Wars fan, I think I know how this will turn out:

The Sith will fry the Jedi with lightning, keeping him afar; the Jedi guardian will then throw his lightsaber, and while the Sith's stunned, do a Force leap and close in.

The Sith reacts quickly and does Overload, the Jedi is thrown back and the Sith Force-speeds away.

As the Jedi closes in once again, he prepares his melee attacks - but the sorceror Shocks him, and subsequently kills him.

@Pahina22 want to play a smuggler when clearly Jedi is a better choice. Even in WoW there are trinkets and immunities to being stunned which allow you to counter those stuns. I am sure SWTOR will have similar functionalities. Besides, if no classes had UTILITY such as a stun, pvp would be boring...

@Pahina22 Obviously you don't fully understand pvp. It isn't about who has more stuns or movement, it is about how one utilizes those abilities to win in a fight. If there were no stuns, the gameplay would be much different and MUCH slower, no one likes slow games. Players enjoy fast games where thinking on ones feet is required, not games where literally any player can be good just because of his classes superior abilities. If classes weren't balanced, it wouldn't be fun for people who want to

Okay, looking at this from a PVP perspective, these abilities are just stupid. Unless the abilities are tied to a certain tree its is just dumb. The Jedi has leap, a 3sec stun, a knockback, and a 6 sec stun and the Sith has a speed boost, a 5sec stun and a knockback. So many fucking stuns. Did they not learn anything from WoW? Stuns are bad, peopl hate being killed while they can do nothing to stop it. It just ruins PVP. I just hope these skills are only available for certain trees.

Actually Pahina22, in PvP there is a CC immunity bar that fills each time you are hit with a stun, if that bar fills up you get a few seconds of stun immunity, forget right at this moment if it's 6 or 8 seconds. However it gives you enough time to do what you like without fear of stun or any CC abilities knocking you out...remember though this is true for your enemy as well.

@SuddenlySecular No, you're absolutely right. I've done a lot of digging, and this will be certain. The reason is the class system is screwed up. They provide no incentive for players to choose any other class, considering they are all combat based now. Had they implemented the smart idea of having crafting classes that did not fight, like what the smuggler should be, people could enjoy having different types of leverage over other characters in the game.

@sedgie09 No not true at all. Meridian59 came out a year before ultima, but before that there was MUDs (multi-user dungeons) . 2.Bioware did not make ultima online, no idea where you got that from. Ultima was made by origin systems (a company no longer around) and was later bought by EA Mythic.
