The video contained only the shortened version, so this is apparently as close as we can get to the whole song in video version. Based on my own research (which is admittedly limited), I'd say the likelihood of anything more substantial showing up is slim...or I think it would have already surfaced somewhere. I would think that somewhere at some time there would have been more video taken of Hawkins, but for whatever reason no one is making it available for public viewing or purchase.
@bumlebasse The break in the audio/video is because of a splice of two sections that did not splice as cleanly as desired. It wasn't because anything was edited out, if that's what you mean. So, no...he didn't say that.
@Sprtschk Brief answer...Hawkins said his playing style made his hand hurt and the glove protected his hand. He also tuned the guitar in such a way to make standard chords made with the fingertips unnecessary.
