  • Al Gore is president elect from 2000.

  • OH..now theres an idiot...Al Gore, Global warming...REALLY....are you kidding me you moron...oh yea we are warming the earth all by our lonesome....OH yea what about all the active volcanoes....DOH !! I rest my case !! Git real you idiot liberals !!

  • I'm happy Al Gore called out McCain on the fact he sold out the nutty Republican base

I still think Gore should've picked McCain as his VP. I honestly believe that would've won him the election

  • @tubub he did win the election...he just didn't become President ; )

But i doubt McCain would've accepted anyway

  • What a great speaker.

  • I wish he won in 2000.

  • god i love al gore...one of the best orators of out time, in my biased opinion

  • This mofo should be hung drawn and quartered and his pieces dropped on the happy hunting grounds of the Polar Bears. His assets paid back to the US taxpayers who have lost billions on his global warming fraud.

  • @Theylivewesleep1984 you're a ignorant, misinformed, uneducated, moron.

  • i can't even begin to imagine how different things would have been for america if he became president back in the early 2000s. i know he would have been a great president. i hope that after obama finishes his second term, which i know he will get, al gore will finally decide to run again. america needs to keep the reigns of power out of the hands of the party of ignorance, the ones who flushed the economy down the toilet, started two wars, gave the rich tax breaks, and skyrocketed national debt.

  • america always seems to say they love a president when its being elected, and once the elections finished they all start hating the president, even if they voted for it

  • @u7alll

you've learned a valuable lesson about humans. The mentality of crowds, people hate those in responsibility. Right when times are good, leaders are hailed as gods; once the good times end, on come the witch hunts. Look at Greenspan in the 90s, everyone loved him. Come 2007 and he was burned at the stake, even if he'd made warnings as early as 2005 and admitted he was 30% wrong

The alternative is Hitler, who had unbelievably high approval ratings right up to the end. Delusion...

  • Al Gore is letting the sunshine!!!!! And also protecting the Earth from its harmful rays by stopping Ozone destruction! I LOVE YOU AL!!! You Will Always Be The REAL 43rd President of the United States!!!!!!!!!

  • Bush being president was one of the darkest moments in America.

  • I grew up in the 90s, and I still remember the day the Supreme Court made its decision in 2000. Let me just say, I truly believe we would have been better off had Al Gore been president... one can only wonder how things would be so vastly different. *sigh*

  • Al Gore, the 43rd President of the United States of America. (he did win the election)

  • Who is the biggest lunatic

    A: Marshal Applewhite

    B: Jim Jones

    C: David Koresh

    D: Al Gore

If Al Gore was to "reinvent" himself, which of the before mentioned lunatics would be the best fit?

Al Gore said to David Koresh " The government is here to help you, & my friend Janet Reno wants to barbeque your children"

Al Gore told Marshal Applewhite "Does your UFO have first class seating?"

Al Gore told Jim Jones "make it Orange flavored cyanide spiked Flavor Aid, I don't like Grape"

  • For the 2012 Democratic National Convention, they should do the same thing as this one. The first three days inside a basketball arena, and for the fourth and final day, in a football stadium. That way it will be more open to the public if people want to come and participate and it will raise the television ratings.

  • What a great speech!! I wouldn't be surprised however that if Obama is re-elected in 2012, and John McCain is still living in 2016, McCain might give a similar speech on what he believes things would have been like if he had been elected in 2008!!

  • There's never been a vice president as powerful as Al Gore. Bush got away with stealing the election in 2000 but it worked out for Al Gore and a lot of things blew up in Bush's face. If Al Gore is president in the future he would have even more good things to run on.

  • GOD BLESS YOU

  • honestly i think gore losing and bush winning in 2000 did more to help the democratic party (at least) in general than anything.

  • in a way i believe that....and kerry losing in 2004 was a sign too. if kerry had one, then obama would have never had the chance to run for president in 2008, the 2000 election changed alot of things.

  • Al Gore should've won in 2000!

  • More people voted for him than they did for Bush.

  • I accidentally hit the thumbs down, but I wanted to hit the thumbs up! I so agree! If I were older back then I would have voted for Gore, he ROCKS!!!!!!!

  • He did win in 2000!

  • Al Gore, the 43rd President of the United States.

  • I assume your one of the "dumbasses" that voted for "W" by your need to correct obvious sarcasm..?

  • Then Again, perhaps I'm incorrect to call sarcasm when Gore did have the popular majority? Perhaps Chad's comment is completely sincere.

  • "the same policies? hey, i believe in recycling, but that's ridiculous!" ......AL GORE, WE LOVE YOU!!

  • There would have been no 9/11 if Al Gore had won because Gore would have taken the August 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing seriously.

  • What do you base that on? What evidence do you have that we'd be worse off if Gore had won in 2000? Are you mentally retarded? Did you read what i posted? President Bush IGNORED the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing that stated: "Bin Laden determined to strike in the U.S." Bush ignored the warning dammit! Bush goes on to attack Iraq, a country that a 3-year-old child knows had NOTHING to do with 9/11. I'm so tired of Bush apologists like yourself.

  • Yes, I do think paying attention to that briefing might have prevented 9/11 from happening. It's typical of crazy ignorant right-wingers such as yourself to not answer a question. The August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing WAS NOT a government conspiracy. The briefing was SENT to President Bush while he was on vacation in his ranch in Crawford, TX. President Bush could have done more to try and prevent 9/11, but he didn't and he invaded the wrong country. It is YOU who is the fuckin idiot.

  • alright smart ass, then excactley what was the breifing about and if George Bush went to it, then how would it change 9/11.???

  • Right - because things sure are *awesome* after eight years of Deputy Dumbass.

  • Gosh, I wish I voted for Al Gore in 2000. I was more worried about sports than politics at the time so I didn't care. Al Gore is a great person.

  • The US has not been safe under Bush. The US has been attacked, the US is in two wars and the US is now a favorite victim for more terrorist attacks.

  • you are victims because you control the media. the terrorists know that if they attack america they will internationally bitch the most making the terrorists area of influence larger. noone knew who the taliban were until president bush declared a war on them after 9/11

  • you are quite stupid.

  • fagman7,

people that voted for appointed president Bush (You) are not only stupid, but mentally retarded. Also, you wouldnt know the fuckin truth if it slapped you across your face you fuckin Bush loving sheep.

  • ahhh.... the man who should have been president instead of george dubyu bush

  • well the republicans diddnt start sueing everything in sight (florida) when we lost... we just accepted it cause we decided that america voted for a socialist and so be it you got one running come january

  • Al Gore Friggin' rocks! Bush must have pissed him off so much that he could no longer maintain his notorious deadpan boringness anymore!

  • how about that music lol

  • Great. Barack Obama and Al Gore are the best politicians we have at the moment, I think.

  • Imagine...

Imagine if Al Gore had become president in 2000 (Like he should have been)

  • I better don't imagine... :( But well don't think of it, now we have a president who can make everything better...

  • I think all the Dems could have been good presidents. After seeing Bush's lack of leadership for the 8 years & only informing the public when he wanted something. I feel upset taht I did not vote for Kerri in 04. Now I know that everyone has their candidate but I willing to have a change now. I'll vote Obama. I know a good leader & boss when I see one after working so many jobs. Obama would be good at both.

  • The name of the song is 'Let The Sunshine In'.

  • I was there! ;) fantastic speech!

  • Great speech. I also enjoyed the opening song!

  • what's the name of that song?

  • Don't get me wrong, I want Obama to win and he will, but was it worth these eight horrible years of Bush? I guess it was....Once Obama is sworn in, does everyone realize we have Bush to thank? Very ironic!

  • a fantastic orator, the Democrats have spoken incredibly eloquently this year.

Kerry, the Clintons and Al Gore especially

Don't waste their hard work America, please, the rest of the world is begging you

  • Where the hell is Man-Bear-Pig! :D

On a more serious note, the video has nice quality.

  • Yeah, He should of been president or this country wouldn't of been in hell right now. We were on the right track when Bill Clinton was president and George W. Bush took away that right track. Now it's time to get back on track and elect Barrack Obama as president and Joe Biden as vice-president.

    YES WE CAN!!

    Obama/Biden '08

  • That was freaking fantastic

  • To jordanj942

    You are not to smart.

Now Google my husband's name Albert Arnold Gore Jr and mine Mary Elizabeth Gore (Tipper) with Jane Bowell and Jeff Fisher.

Everyone call Billy Graham and have them pray for Jordon to grow up. 877-247-2436

    Its a prayer line.

Long live all who believe in GOD!!!!

    Mary Elizabeth Gore (Tipper)

  • Didn't Al invent the internet? Seems like a nice boy. Bet he really contributes to global warming with all the hot air coming outta the big fellow. Him and Joe Biden should get together and do a late night talk show. hell Al should go to Hollywood and star in the next Batman movie. Or star as Homer Simpson. Oh what doom & despair that Al spews about. Where's Tipper..Probably in rehab with Teddy Kennedy, I'd be in rtehab too if I was married to AL, hell i'd be gay if i was married to al

  • just look how many views on this to all the others

  • gore should have won it.that bush strikes again pulling strings.just like mccain when he was pow

  • fuk off dip shit, get back in your parents basement

  • After reading AN INCONVENENT TRUTH...I have to say that Al Gore is my hero. I think EVERY American needs to read this book BEFORE they go out and vote! It may just save the world.

  • 2008 OBAMA and DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mr Gore, you've always spoken well. This speech was no different. After watching both conventions-the messages are the same all the way down the line. The difference is in who's delivering it.

  • Democrats having the best speeches!

  • so like what is he up to in poundage...280..300 tops..nice job tho it looks like ur waist dropped from an 81 to a 80.5

  • The TRUE gentleman have now spoken! Gore would never have trashed this country like that village idiot did.

  • Great speech by a phenomenal person. <3

  • Amen brother, Al Gore would of made an excellent president, and yes we did end up with a DAMN moron.

  • This man knows what he's talking about. He may have made a a great president; instead we ended up with a moron.

  • This man is brilliant!!

  • This in one brilliant individual. I cant believe we passed on him in 2000. All we can do now is follow his advice and vote for OBAMA in 08.

  • Another phenomenal speech delivered from the Dems. Great job Gore!

In my opinion, I have found that the speeches I've seen from the DNC have been inspirational, whereas the speeches I've seen during the RNC thus far have been..... lacking. I've also noticed that a couple of the Republican speakers have a constant need to clear their throats, and I find that a bit distracting. But I guess that is what happens when you are choking on your own bullshit.

  • amazing orator and very smart individual

  • Did AL fly in on his personel jet? I bet know one from the liberal media has the balls to ask him!

  • Blatant lie. Al Gore does not own a private jet.

You are lying pure and simple and people need to call you out

  • know one? republicansrule, back to school.

  • Gee watch out, a jet bis flying up Rush Limbaugh's ass.

  • Succint but extremely powerful speach!!

Didn't know Al Gore was also a born-orator.

  • "Didn't know Al Gore was also a born-orator."

I know, isn't it a shame he didn't shine like that during the presidential race? Same goes for Kerry and his brilliant and passionate speech. I'm pretty convinced those two are actually the rightful former presidents, by popular vote.(this has been *well* documented)

  • Al Gore you´re my fuckin hero!!! :)

  • my thoughts exactly ^_^

  • Probably decades in the future, this single man will be remembered more than the Denver democratic convention enthusiasm and the bickering of this election due to his commitment to start awareness of the opportunity we have to save our planet right now and leave even a little bit of its life-sustaining features to our sons.

  • There's a very very very very very very very big diffrence between Al and W. Al Gore is a good man and a good leader. Bush divides.

  • one of the best speakers ever! both intellectually and emotionally inspiring -- and maintaining a class worth of a president!

  • "The same policies? Now I believe in recycling but that's ridiculous!"

BEST LINE EVER!!!! AL GORE FTW!

  • Spectacular, and spot on.

  • Who sings that song?

  • Its from the play "Hair".

  • Awesome. Although I wish he had run with Obama, he's still awesome.

  • i second that

  • Excellent excellent stuff!

Couldn't help but sigh and wish, though, as I watched him roar ... that he HAD pushed his passionate cause, environment, during his 2000 campaign. It was a head scratcher for me at the time. Florida may not have even mattered, had he cried out from his heart, openly, the Inconvenient Truth.

He said here that some of the worst products have the best marketing. True. Also true is that top notch products often pitch wrong. And Al is as good as they come.

  • Excellent ! ! !

  • Definitely not the best speech of Gore's, or the convention, but still powerful.

  • Going to have to use that Lincoln bit when people try to say Obama doesn't have the experience needed

  • While you're at it, you can mention that Cheney was one of the most experienced politician America had in their arsenal.

Other experienced figures in the Bush Administration were, Wolfiwitz, Rice, Bolton, Rumsfield, etc etc etc.

My point is, look what the most "experienced" did for America and more importantly the World.

  • Thats actually a good point. Despite what the republicans might say most Americans would have a bad reaction to any of those names.

I can just see the response to the "experience" question:

"Yeah and you know who else was experienced? Cheney: 25 years in Congress and Republican White House positions, Rumsfeld: in government from '63 - '77, part time under Reagan, foreign policy experience, was a CEO, etc...see where that got us when lives were at stake?"

  • This man is SO knowledgable, HE SHOULD RUN for president of THE WORLD. It's amazing. He's a million times superior than Bush. I can't believe so many americans people voted for Bush back in 2000 having a much better candidate in all aspects. Gore should have won with at least 10 points.

  • Bill Clinton was the speaker for the Democratic party now it's Al Gore. That's even better.

  • Al Gore - lost 30 pounds man!

  • Gore would still make a great President!

  • Gore is the man. What a great speech. Go Obama!!!

  • "I believe in recycling, but that's ridiculous!" Haha!

  • hell yea, that was just amazing

    OBAMA 08!

  • You GO, AL! That was a STRONG speech. Al is really becoming a GREAT orator!

  • I cry to think of what we have suffered as a nation because we were robbed of a great president in 2000. Let's all try our very best not to allow that to happen ever again!!!!!

  • GORE: Gets it.

The best speech of the DNC 2008. Brilliant. Perfect delivery. If you want to know how to give a great speech study this one.

  • this man should have been president - obama should have him campaigning in targeted battleground states

  • Obama is leading in the polls! The national tracking polls have Obama up by an average of 6%. Gallup has him up 8%! Keep it up democrats! Fuck you republicans!

  • Where were Jesse Jackson and John Edwards?

  • Impressive...

  • "Let The Sun Shine"? For Al Gore, Mr. Global Warming? Was that meant to be funny?

  • How about "Let the Sun Shine" as in use SOLAR power??

  • Al Gore! I too will *never* get over his presidency being stolen by the Bush gang. What a loss for our nation that he has not been in the White House this past eight years.

  • The recycling bit was hilarious :)

  • OUTSTANDING!

I'm still bitter about his presidency being STOLEN from the Bush gang...

  • Gore is still da bomb!

  • He looks fantastic... Like hes lost weight and a few years :)

  • Al Gore is probably the most hard working politician i've ever seen to try and make our country better, healthier and more improved overall

  • Heard this on NPR's coverage last night... What a great speech. Really good.

  • Al Gore should have won Florida in 2000 and win that election, if he woulda be in office, there woulda be no war, terrorism and chaos. Fuck da reps and red states, GO DEMS # 1

  • Al Gore is a superhero

  • We let this man go and chose what we have in the oval right now.

  • Gore 2016!!!

  • Wonderful speech!

I think he rushed it a bit to help keep the focus on Barack who gave a great speech as well.

I sure hope McCrazy gets his arse kicked!

  • I just love this man! And "Let the sunshine in" was just an awesome introduction song choice for him! <3

  • i hope he gets a place in the new OBAMA government

  • Al rocks!

  • let the sunshine in

  • FIGHT MANNEQUINISM!!!

Mannequinism is a phenomenon caused by political and volunteer inactivity where "...sufferers experience a hardening of the skin and firmness of all joints until ultimately the body is transformed into a plastic hollow shell. It is a disease of the mind that ultimately affects the person's whole being and community."

  • N1 !

  • Does anyone know what's the song at the beginning?

  • Let the sun shine in. It's a song from the 'Hair' Soundtrack :) Hope that helped.

  • Reply to phoneyee: Part II:"Let The Sunshine... medley from "Dawning Of The Age of Aquarious" - 5th Dimension.

  • he was bitten by a poisoner butterfly. Or so i'm told.......

  • he should have been this passionate 8 years ago. Maybe we wouldn't be in this mess now.

  • the world needs america to regain it's moral ascendency & leadership. a weakened america has led to belligerent russia who's democracy is failing & is bullying it's neighbors & China is spreading autocracy and tyranny. C'mon americans, as an australian, I implore you to get your act together, seize this opportunity to restore the worlds faith in democracy and freedom & elect OBAMA.

  • lttlebighrn is right. We need to get back our dignity and get some real leaders, not a bunch of war crime criminals. Dr. Frankenstein was nothing compared to the madness of Cheney- what a monster he and his puppets have created.
