Actually, they did--there is a missing, seventh part to this video. It explained that there is indeed a "Phoenician" type, a set of genetic mutations specific to Phoenicians which is detectable in their descendant populations today. They traced it on the Y-chromosome, which passes virtually untouched from father to son, unlike the X, which gets a good mix from both parents (women = XX, men = XY).
