  • why are you painting it a puke chevy orange you need to take a class on painting edicate

  • needs music

  • Those were dish pistons, not flat tops.

  • GM POWER!!! WHITE POWER!!!!

  • those were dish pistons not flat top

  • dude this guy has it easy. i have a motor that was sitting for years and full of dried up oil crud. i've been cleaning on and off for 4 days now and still haven't got it completely clean.

offroadingmachine007 ford made several 351s cleveland, modified and the windsor. i'm not sure of the exacts between the modified and cleveland, but the windsor is very similar to a 302/ s.b. (alittle wider than than the 302/289) while the others are b.b.

  • @blueovalfan23 the 351 Modified started out as a Windsor block and fitted with Cleveland heads to form a 351M

  • @rasnake123456789 no, no, no. A 351M is a 400C block De-stroked to 351, hence the modification. Ford stopped 351C production in '74 and came up with a crank and piston combo for '75 to equal 351ci inside the original 400C, a bigger block from the original 351C. it has no parts of a 351windsor. its all Cleveland.

  • Whats the diffrence between a 351 Windsor and a 351 Clevland?

  • the heads and the bell housing.

  • somebody dropped a load of cash on these goodies

  • very nice work men. I enjoyed that :)

  • 383 is nice and easy 408 to 418 lot of clearence problems

  • love this video.... i just yanked a 351w out about an hour ago took 4 hours to get it running and 3 hours and 2 min with a large trackhoe to rip er out. it sits and runs no problem. i see that he upgraded the stock heads. im wondering how much that cost... b/c new aluminum heads ready to install are about 499 to 599 canadian. i figure from the bottem up.. cost is going to be around 3500 to 4000.. will see...

  • how much did your build up cost?

  • damn good job and taste

  • Regardless, it looks and sounds good!

  • Aww man, you should have put that motor in a Mustang!, since you said it was an 84, you should've dropped that in an 84 Fox body Mustang LX that had the 5.0

  • Yeah great but you put it in a pick up, A 65/66 mustang would of turned a few more heads mate but I must say nice job and thank god it not another chev.

  • great buld man im doin the same build for my ranger how much better does it run with that stroker kit?

  • Should run nice with a stroker, just make sure you do your research before you buy parts and dont skimp on quality. make sure its balenced as well, helps with longevity and allows for safer and faster reving.

  • sweet... any numbers yet? i noticed you have a performer intake and a RPM cam, Why not match it with the RPM intake? The motors not getting all the power. Performer intake is idle to 5500 rpm. Cam 1500 to 6500 rpm i believe. try can get The RPM intake 1500 to 6500 Rpm to match the cam!! Sounds awesome tho. Thumbs up

  • pritty beat up engine

  • Looks good and gives me some motivation - I'm just starting a rebuild on my '81 F250 with the same intake and carb.

I'm curious - why did you go with the RPM cam and high rev lifters when you're stroking it out to 383? I was planning to go with the Performer-Plus (2172). Any input?

  • yeah nice i have a 351 windsor bored and ported but im yet to get it into anything but im lookin for a 1950's or 70's f-100 or f-150

  • great job - great shop - i would imagine you are running a C6 - just a thought, wouldnt this truck be sweet with a tremec 5 speed behind that motor?...just an idea - great truck!

  • dont look like any flat top pistons i have ever seen the ones i normally use dont have that soup bowl in them but nice truck have an 85 with a 408 windsor 383 are great engines++++++++++

  • Lookin' good man! I've got the same piston ring compressor. :)

    Congrats on doing it yourself!

  • awesome, except for the FRAM filter.

  • Awesome build man, thanks for shearing i've been thinking about dropping a stroker in my 79.

  • damn that was a bad ass engine i am actually thinking of making my own

  • sweet deal man. I got an 84 F-150, all original 351W running on almost 160K miles and still not a valve sound. Rear main is leaking and I'll prob take it to a machine shop next year, and maybe integrate some of your mods. Rock on

  • nice sounding engine HOMIE!!!!!!!
