  • I looked for this video for so long... that dunk on Zo made me chilling at the time on "canal plus", still amazing now...

    A great player.. .

    I miss NBA classics...

  • these shots arent even hitting the rim, all you hear is a "splash" truly the age of concise and consistant jump shooting

  • No one can play like MJ.. The greatest player of all time..

  • Was this the game where Jordan did not want to shake the hands (of Zo and LJ) at the start of the game? I just remember one game where the Hornets made some comments about Jordan. The next time out, Jordan did not shake Zo and LJ's hands and then went to work on the Hornets. Jordan was one sick puppy.

  • i say this kobe is the only oplayer close to jordans calliber in stats and as a player all around kobe scored 64 & 81 points before he;s great too! but nobody in the league has the time to break kobes or jordans records because it would take about 20 years in the league!! lmfao

  • 6 people have never seen Jordan play.

  • @xKxOxI3xEx24 haha.... funny

  • type "short guy dunks" in the youtube search box to see a 5ft 5in guy dunking a 10ft hoop

  • I never knew the Bulls played under water.

  • @gamecollect101 faggot

  • 52 pts shooting 60% against a playoff team!!!!

  • At 2:35 MJ did a nasty stuff on Mourning. Alonzo Mourning was a great defender but he should of just backed up becuase MJ had already taken flight and when that happens just get out of the way

  • Don't forget Kendall Gill. He wasn't that bad a player either you know.

  • You can't do that Mike... That's a taunting technical in today's game.. Weak ass league now!!

  • another game to add towards The Jordan Challenge if they bring it back in NBA 2K12

  • MJ is such a reliable shooter compared to kobe.

  • I bet Alonzo hates Jordan and Carter Big time..

  • Oridnarily I'd say that's some embarrassing shit for Zo, but hell that was Jordan in 93...no shame in getting Jordan-ized in 93

I guess MJ quitting for baseball a year later was because his dad was killed, but I kinda thought he just got bored. He proved he was better than everyone else, and that was his thing-competing..in 1993 he had no real competition

He came back after almost 2 years, played only 17 reg games and STILL almost made the Finals

just enough rust for Shaq inc

    then 3peat

  • Kobe Who? Lebron, not even as good as James Worthy.

  • Alonzo already knew when he crossed His Royal Airness the wrong way that the force of the entire world would be brought down upon his head eventually...Just happens that he gets smashed on twice in this game. DAMM Craig!!!

  • Amazing shoooting .

  • 2.28 Hoooooooooooooooly Shit that was a HUGE dunk

  • That dunk on Mourning was disgustingly glorious.

  • Utterly chilling!

  • Youngndeadly I don't know what u consider "old" but I'm 26 so I grew up on MJ so everybody my age knows he is the man..these players nowadays are pampered but I definetly respect kobe, lebron, dwade etc..and I'm a fan of them just like I'm still a fan of MJ...G.O.A.T

  • MJ dunk on ZO! 2:28

  • I can't see much but I remember everything about MJ anyway...

  • the smoothest jumper ever....

  • i wish the younger people could of seen him play so i can quit hearing dis kobe n lebron the bes ask any old person they will tell u

  • If you ever had to clone a basketball team to play against an alien team Game 7 for the future of planet earth and could only clone 1 SG who would that be? Of course Mr. Michael Jordan 23 duh!

  • right now jordan is saying eeeeeeeeeeeyahooooooooooooooo lol

  • @MrYeah718 hahahahahaha

  • HE DUNKED ON MY BIG COUSIN JOHNSON LMAO

  • @2:47 THE KING OF BEASTS IS ROARING

  • you guard me? yes you may. but don't expect me to miss.

  • jordan loved scoring against alonzo, dunking on him

  • The dunk at 2:28 is over zo is nasty..Larry use to have some nice dunks.Jordan just is diff then any other player it's like basketball, winning and just excellence run in his vains..He the best of all time he truly changed the game..Kobe may have more when hes 35..but Kobe plays like he does because of this man thats y Jordan is better cause he basically made Kobe and Lebron.

  • dddamn... and wtf r kids nowadays saying kobe is better than jordan. Jordan is still the greatest in the NBA history so far.

  • people who say that are delusional kobe nuthuggers...kobe will never be or is nowhere near and so not close to being the new goat...its a joke...and so are those kids who think so....

  • no now your being as gullible as those kobe nuthuggers your being a jordan nuthugger

kobe is just as good as jordan BUT jordan came first and put a stamp on basketball that i dont think can be redone or anything like it can be kobe does COME CLOSE but sadly him nor anyone else will ever be like mike BUT like i said kobe is the only one that comes dangerously close

  • @DARIUSAKABYRD yea right lebron is the closest, kobe ain't as good as mj

  • @DARIUSAKABYRD Young people....*sigh*. Kareem, Magic, Shaq. Three Lakers, and if you have watched basketball a little longer and have a memory longer than 3 minutes, that's 3 Lakers that were better than Kobe. But you rank him as the 2nd best player ever? Give me a break. He was a 2nd banana to Shaq who was an unstoppable force for those championship teams. Kobe doesn't produce at playoff time, that much is obvious statistically and historically. Don't disrespect players who came before today.

  • @75samuel75 Hell YEAH! Good words.

  • Anyone that says Kobe is "better than Jordan" or "the closest to Jordan" is crazy.

  • He just plays with so much class. He never forces his offence either!

  • he was 30 in 93 and won rings up until 98,GOAT,lets see where some of these new MJs are when they are 35

  • Yeah, you are right,(im not against Kobe but lets see if he is capable of do that at 35).

  • My Favorite duo Zoe and Johnson

  • you must like seein jordan own both of them and also dunk on zo. cuz i sure do

  • GOAT

  • damn, 52 pts. on 21 of 35 shooting. Sick.

  • did someone on the hornets piss him off...? that game he looked as if someone said something about him...or he was out to get someone.

  • 60% FGPCT

  • damn that dunk on alonzo was sick

  • I saw this game live on TV, Bulls were struggling so MJ had to turn it up. The guy is just sick, he could have scored 100 points at will in any of his first 3 championship series.

  • i don't understand what you're saying

  • Look at the bulls lineup. OMG, and you say Jordan had so much talent to work with?

  • WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • " I thought he bit his tongue " lol

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee yehoooooooooooo!!!

  • There was another game that year where Jordan dunked on Zo 3 or 4 times.

  • it was late in the season in Charlotte, Hoops has it as well.

  • jordan dominated in 93. 93 and 87 were his best years

  • and in 88'

  • I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY HIM

  • Thats my Sexy Michael Jordan

  • 2:28 ..best dunk EVER !!

  • what a fuckin nice dunk by Jordan on Zo...but Zo's worst humiliation was when Vince Carter shit on his face 2 seasons ago..best posterizing dunk ever!!

  • Werd!

  • jordan shitted on zo's face when zo was in prime. carter shitted on zo when zo was unhealthy and full of injuries.

  • carter's dunk on zo was still nicer

  • I dont remember that dunk on Alonzo.

  • you can't get baptized twice in 1 night!

    MJ= greatest ever

  • Comment removed

  • Yeh I heard about that. Sometimes it might be best never to block MJ. Once you do MJ always gives payback in a hurry and continuously because MJ has to be always be on top. 1 block on MJ = MJ dunking in your face throughout your whole career!!

  • i had forgotten about that. so true, so true, lol.

  • Announcer: "And after he comes down, he says 'YEEEEEEE AH HOOO!'" Lmao. I forgot how hilarious announcers used to get whenever they got all into the game. XD But Michael Jordan does that to people once he heats up.

  • lol, look at this idiot..NUTTED ON? Sounds like a man who knows how that feels

  • "and guess who got the rebound....and guess who put it in....AND A FOUL!!!!...jordan with 46

  • Man NBA blows now, Remember the 90s, Jordon, Pippen, Malone, Stockdon, Hakeem, Larry Johson, Mourning, Isiah, Ewing, Reggie Miller, John Starks, Kemp, man I could go on forever... NBA use to be so awesome.. Now, well its not. LOL

  • its cuz not many play d and most of em do it for the money not for bein the best

  • "...and after he comes down he says 'REEEEEEEEEYAHOOOOOOO!'"

    wtf lol

  • I miss Johnny Red Kerr :)

  • wow alonzo got nutted on twice

  • DITTO

  • kobe is a bitch

  • stop comparing, they are two totally different people; it's not fair to compare... bitch

  • This is the only in-season game that jordan played in that I got to see live. Unbelievable. Mourning and Jordan put on a show in the 3rd quarter. But jordan's unmatchable drive, determination, will, and unwavering competitiveness were to much for the hornets --and pretty much anybody else he ever was matched up against in his ridiculous carrer.

  • Michael Jordan in his prime...... the best of all tine.

  • david stern is ruining the league with all his new bitch rules. The NBA was awsome in the 90's. Now it's on it's way down in my opinion

  • man i miss the old school early 90's players lj the old mourning dereck coleman...

  • agreed

  • Y did Jordan yell like that??? I have neva seen him react like that be4

  • He was imitating Mourning because he screams all the time.

  • .,oh was that it..? uhaha funny! but i liked the heat

  • no he was imitating lj cause he yelled really loud on dunks and shit ...

  • @hoopsencyclopedia Yes, he was imitating him, but Mike was also taunting him. Jordan did not like the fact that Mourning had blocked his dunk attempts in previous games and yelled. Jordan was the singularly most competitive athlete I have ever witnessed. If Kobe is the Black Mamba, Jordan is the Brown Mongoose.

  • @MIKESOWELL Yup and Jordan was not one to be f'd with. Kobe is a competitor but Jordan was a mean SOB Not the kind of guy who was just a fun & games athlete.

  • @kanyedabest

Mike's always have a non chalant attitude when it comes to games. come into the game ready to play not pretend to take pics like lebron and the cavs, not dancing like kobe and the lakers do, 1, 2, 3, BULLS, play. thats how he approached the game. during the game, no celebrating until you win cause if you celebrate and loose, how dumb do you look. there are times where your emotions take over and when he dunked on alonzo like he did, man he had to let out a scream.

  • @kanyedabest Ive seen him do it to Patrick Ewing. It must be a fave of MJ's to dunk on Georgetown Alums.

  • who did he dunk on was that mourning or johnson

  • i saw who it was that was raw as hell

  • Alonzo

  • I like the game in Charlotte where Mike Dunks on Mourning 3 times, Two of them came on back to back possesions.

  • jordan is god

  • Which is precisely why Rod Thorn explained in detail two years ago why the NBA made rules to make it easier to score. Listen, if you want to post shit, do it somewhere else. Dumb idiots aren't allowed to post on my videos. Read and learn something before embarrassing yourself in front of adults.

  • @hoopsencyclopedia love all your videos of MJ...

  • lets just keep it straight theres no proof out there to say that shaq would have any wings without kobe or d wade....lets not disregard the fact that both those teams had GOOD role players....enough breaking it down player vs. player...

  • Jordan and Kobe are great players. Jordan by far is the better player and Kobe has a chance to go down as a top 5 player from his own era. Jordan should be compared to Shaq and Duncan who are the only leaders with multi-championships. Read my channel description. I guarantee you that it teaches you more about the game and the history of MJ and the history of Kobe.

  • Damn, Mike was good!!!

  • man kobe is the greatest player on the planet rite now, mike wuz better, but his time is over, can yall jus stop hating and let kobe b kobe, how is he supposed to prove himself wen none of yall is even giving him a chance, u jus have it made up in your mind dat hes a mj wannabe, and will never b as good as him, ppl gotta stop comparing 2 mj cauz nobady eva has or eva will b as good as His Airness

  • The 'best' is arguable today but let's not throw around the word 'great' so loosely. Greatness is secured in the playoffs. This era's greatest players are Tim Duncan and Shaq. Pete Maravich might have been the 'best' player during his time but his failure to elevate his team pretty much makes him an early version of KB - a shoot first player with high ppg and low FG% who shoots even worse in the playoffs. Hence Pete is remembered for his 'flash' and not his 'greatness'.

  • well, dats wat im sayin man, kobe is the best in a statistical and skill sence, but i agree that the 2000s greatest players are shaq and tim duncan in terms of winning championships and doing wat they can to be catalysts for their team, which is wat basketball is really is about, how well the team as a whole functions, but in an athletic sense, kobe bryant takes that department, kind of like mj in the 80s, he wuz tha most talented and athletic, but bird, magic and isaiah had the rings

  • all kobe has is making the defensive team, and his stats don't say he should be on there with one steal a game and being an average rebounding guard. how can jason kid have more rebounds than kobe, lmao, man get real, kobe isn't the winner that jordan was in the 80s or 90s for that matter get fuckin real thrillaofmanillia

  • kobe on the other hand is a shooter who misses more than half his shots, who is labeled a great defender but has none of the acclodaes or accomplishments that jordan or any other great defender has like dopy, kobe hasn't even sniffed that award,

  • @hoopsencyclopedia i dont recall pistol having a lowFG % and pistol achieved greatness before stepping a foot on a NBA floor no one will ever come close to beating his ppg in college

    NO ONE EVER

  • @spookeddudedevito Your whole arguement went out the window when you said, "college"

  • no its not like mike moron, what did hoops just get finished telling you, jordan was always great,he had a great field goal percentage, and he had great stats in other areas of his game, plus he won defensive player of the year and three steals titles,

  • I love how defensive people get when Kobe and J are compared. They have to write an essay of reasons of how the are diff. Listen, Enjoy what Jordan did and what Kobe currently does. END/

  • stfu bitch,i don't have to enjoy what kobe does,he's an impersonator, and a bad one at that end of story

  • what i'm trying to say is jordan had certain accolades or accomplishments in the 80s that showed that he was doing everything in his power to try to get his team to win,not to mention his exploits in the playoffs, doing whatever was necessary for his team to win,

  • Jordan makes friend with his competitors, such as Magic, Barkley, Malone...., but Kobe hate his great teammates: Shaq, Malone....

Have you see the difference between Jordan and Kobe?

Jordan is great in almost everything he can contribute to the basketball games, but Kobe only contribute to himself. That won't make Kobe to win another Champion, that won't make him a great player. He is a great scorer for sure, but not great player.

  • MJ is the GOAT, but you guys are severly biased in your opinions. Kobe is incredible whether you like it or not. He is definetely a top 15 player all-time

  • Alonzo Mourning is the oldest Miami Heat player, isn't he?

  • no payton is

  • I think it was Gary Payton

  • Everyone patterns their game after somebody. Mike said himself he used to idolize Dr J and David Thompson and imitate them. So if Kobe tries to copy certain traits from Jordan, big deal.

  • But MJ's style is so much different from Dr J and Thompson....

MJ has no ambition to compete with Dr J, but Kobe is so ambitious on scoring, and he truely want to become another "Greatest Player".

There's nothing with Kobe, but the way he chose is so familiar with Jordan.

  • Go watch the 81 point game kobe beat toronto all by himself

  • wanna watch a real game go watch MJ's 63 against the Celtics. now thats a game. u kobe fans give too much credit to that cheap 81 performance. u seem to forget it was against one of the worst defensive teams ever and he got 10+ points in garbage time.

  • That's Kobe's greatest game, but don't forget, Jordan has won so many games by himself.

Even you give Kobe a "Pippen", Kobe won't get along with "Pippen", that's for sure.

Kobe only care about his "career goal", not the team, not his team mates.

  • give kobe a sidekick like pippen i am sure he will be able to bring in the championship. 81 points vs toronto when they are -10 down and came back from behind to win it, say he is good in his own way.

  • KB used to have Shaq. KB was much better being the sidekick himself.

  • Kobe is a joke.

  • What else is there to say.. Mike's the greatest!

  • another great game from the greatest

  • Kobe has NOTHING on MJ. There are more Jordan highlights in this clip than Kobe has in his career.

  • I hate it when people exaggerate. Yes, Mike's great but can y'all let Kobe live

  • I wouldn't call you biased at all because Jordan is the greatest player of all-time.

  • the greatest of all time

  • all those people that compare kobe to jordan need to see clips like this. jordan in his prime would attack like a shark, and relentless. kobe is more polished but jordan could intimidate a whole team. kobe just makes you wanna bitch slap him, lol. they are both great but im always gonna pick jordan against anyone. call me biased.

  • Zo got posterized not once but twice in the same game by da man

  • Michael decided when he wanted to take a break. Phil did not.

  • tha dunk on zo was sick at 2:30

  • that insane dunk just reminded me of other crazy dunk by VC, both on poor Zo

  • Grant Hill had another one just like that against Zo.

  • yeah,i remember that one, G hill used to be so quick

  • But to be fair to Zo, he gets posterized because he still tries to contest the dunk. If a leaper like Hill, Carter or Jordan gathers momentum and balance while the defender scambles the defender gets abused. Most defenders/shotblockers know that and get out of the way. They don't want to see themselves on ESPN being dunked on.

  • i alway respect Zo for his will and determination when he is on the court,u can tell from his eyes,he got back from surgery, most people thought he was done, and he was 34 years old,but still blocked 5 or more shoots in some games, and that's why the great players like MJ,hill had to bring out their best games when they faced Zo,did u see how he blocked lebron's layup and ran full court to dunk on the other end, that's just amazing

  • hoops thanks so much for putting these up, noone would comprehend based on words but heres proof of just how (no words can describe) great he is

  • mj is not perfect u remember me there will be someone better then MJ and i dont meen to be egotistic but it will be me.

  • Egotistic is probably not the right word. The one you were groping for is "delusional".

  • It's easy to be on fire like that on the playground. But he did it on the professional level, night after night. And at this point, the game got too easy for MJ. Simply phenomenal.

  • the dunk on zo was sick. his form on the jumper was perfect.

  • lol.... He looked constipated after the dunk on Zo.

    Damn that was great

  • God, he's got a beautiful shot. Bill Wennington I mean ;)

  • Why does phil always sit Mike down when he gets really hot? Michael would of had like 10+ 80pt games if phil didn't sit him down all the time in those situations.

  • ownage!

  • that dunk against Zo was sick!! the one near the end and man is that J sweet.

  • I love that dunk on ZO

  • MIKE is KING. magic IS basketball though. But AIR is the greatest athlete of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree whole heartedly

  • michael jordan always seems to do good against the hornets

  • He does good against ANYONE!!!!

  • "Yeah, MJ was just imitating 'Zo though since he screams all the time"

Hah, I never thought of it that way. If he was imitating 'Zo, that's some funny stuff-- total ownage. :P

  • some nice moves, that dunk is wicked. Dont like MJ taunting though!

  • Yeah, MJ was just imitating 'Zo though since he screams all the time. Kind of like he did the finger-wave on Mutombo to imitate him.

  • I rather like that tbh, simply because it's so rare!

  • can't help thinking that without hoops prolly I will never have a chance to watch the highlights of this match...Kudos to you hoops!

  • Gotta love to see Zo get crowned like that.

  • gotta love to see ZO win a ship.. hahahahahahah

  • Nice vid. One of the few that I don't have on tape. :P Yeah, that dunk on 'Zo is probably his best known one on Mourning (he actually catches Mourning twice in this video), but there was also a game at Charlotte from '93 where he dunks on Alonzo twice in the same game AGAIN. Possibly 3 times, but the last one might have been and "and-1," I forget. But he definitely dunked on 'Zo twice in this other game as well.

  • damn! that dunk on zo was sick!
