Doris was such a talented writer, singer & musician.I bought every record of hers I could find. Our first was was Akers-Simmons Singers. Our choir sang almost every song on that album. 1960 I got to spend the summer with my sister in LA & my husband to be took me to The Skypilot Church on a Sat. night. WOW! I will never forget the choir coming in from 3 directions singing "It's a Highway to Heaven". Later I was able to listen to a morning program of her music. What joy!

You can just hear the love and sense the motivation in her voice as she directs this song! Doris always made sure to put God first and always give it her all. She just nails this song (along with her children). God Bless!
