This was one of the few books that I was so absolutely drawn to the cover and the small review that I felt that 'I must read this. I must have this book.' I love this book and can't wait for a movie to eventually come out. Although hopefully if they do turn it into a movie it's in two separate parts this way they capture every beautiful thing about it rather than missing half the plot
I am half way through this book and I am OBSESSED!! I'm savoring every bit of it as much as possible and I don't ever want to reach the END! She has moved to the top of my fav's as far as fiction writers go! I can almost feel myself walking through that circus and enjoying all its wonder and smells! Can't wait for he next book.
It's no wonder she named the character 'Hector' then, like Hector Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean. Or she named the character Hector and thought of Geoffrey after because he had played another Hector.
this book was just bleh to me, idk understand why so many people are obssesed with it. i feel very little for the characters and there is no suspence or plot. normally thats not a deal breaker but what was there was not enough to suffice for a good book. i do agree that this book would make a brilliant movie that i would watch but as a book....bleh.
I'm still reading this book slowly, savoring it as much as I can xD And so far, from what I've read, I can see Geoffrey Rush as Hector, but the main person I picture is Christoph Waltz xD
Amazing book! Listen to the audio, makes it a wonderful experience read by Jim Dale! Erin is an amazing author, she has a very beautiful way of describing things in vivid visualizations! MOVIE!!!!???? aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh...................Tim Burton MUST do this movie!
Oh my God, it would be AMAZING to see Geoffrey Rush (<3!!!) perform any role in a film version of this story, let alone Hector! Gah, someone, please, PLEASE, if you script this book, get Geoffrey!
Ahem. Aside from that, Erin Morgenstern, you are a phenomenal writer, and this book is one of my new favorites. Best book I've read in... I don't know how long!
I'm so jealous of all those people getting to meet her in person. And they got in paperback? AAAARRGGGHH! I have to wait for that. Amazing book BTW! Thank you Erin (if you are seeing this, which you probably aren't, but I can dream) for this amazing book. And Alice in Wonderland meets Film Noir? OMG! CAN. NOT. WAIT!!!!! Sound like another winner.
Say hello to the new Twilight...
