hey cubby i watch your videos often on days with poor weather, i notice your putting is oftenly dead on even from outside the line, how do you and many other great golfers putt so well.... trust me i do practice
also last week i aced a 243ft hole with a Z buzzz, which is my 4th buzzz ace :)
First off, Congrats on your most recent Ace!!! Ppractice is important. Having the right putter and the right weight helps too. I also do lots of practice in my mind when I am not on the course. I have a link on my blog called "My secret to better disc golf" check it out for some great sports psychology tips. I also try to approach putting like I am walking or driving a car. Both complex operations that we give no thought too, we just do it. Make you putting a no thought operation too.
For me the Omega S/S keeps a better line when thrown flat. I also find that it does not rise as much as an avair. Here is something that may help for putting in general, make the putt like you are throwing the disc to a little kid that can't catch well or move to the disc, throw it soft so to lands right in his imaginary hands dead center chains.
I use an Omega Super Soft Putter 165 grams. I started with a Big bead Avair then an Omega S/S then a JK Avair then a Q-Omega then back to the Omega S/S. What ever putter you use, practice!, practice!, practice! And when you are not practicing, practice in your mind.
you really shouldn't let what somebody else throws influence what you throw. you should throw a lot of different discs and then choose the ones that work for you. (just a piece of advise from an old fart who has been playing for over 20 yrs.)
well, thats good advice, but i was thinking about buying a star wraith anyways after i sell my old bag, but i wanted to see what if cubby carried one as well
Nice video as usual cubby...i just ordered my self an Omega Supersoft Putter and an Avenger SS(FLX). they should arrive friday...hopin the Omega will help my puttin out! keep those videos comin!!!
Hey Vinny, If you go to my blog, on the right hand side you will find some links. Click on the one that says "my secret to playing better Disc Golf" Some really cool sports psychology info that real got my mind where it needed to improve my putting. frequently.
i really like the "fish net" pin. thats a great idea for a practice pin. all the snow here melted off for a day, and now it dumped back down on us, plus it's been -5ish for the last week.
Yeah i went to my local course in Streamwood,IL today and it was pretty cold...i think it was about 10-15 degrees. I'll disc golf in any weather though!!!!!
you should make more vids like this! i liked it a lot!

for some of the holes, did the maker run out of money and have to use homemade baskets? that trashcan one was really cool.
