@coolwal1 The track is called "The Host of Seraphim". The band is "Dead Can Dance". IMHO one of the greatest bands this world has ever seen and propably will ever see. I have all of their albums and every one makes you cry, laugh, dance and fall into trance.
Haha, good to know an invite to sucking ones balls may have major corporations reversing decisions made against you. Im going to try that one on my bank manager or boss the next time they think they can fuck me over.
@jamesbond1066 Baraka is kind of hard to describe, because there's no plot and no narration. It's a series of scenes and images from around the world that explore various aspects of the human condition - religion, technology, war, poverty, and so forth. There's really nothing to compare it to. If you get a chance, you should check it out; I highly recommend it.
i dont agree with Scheisshund coment, i think it really shows the beauty of the world, yes other cultures, but not because is a different culture to yours means is fucked up, besides all that i think its a beautiful art work. For me as a photographer i think its awesomeeeeeeeeeee...!!!! n beautiful, thanx.
BARAKA .....un film sans parole..Le film alterne des séquences somptueuses montrant de grands paysages naturels et des rites religieux ou spirituels humains, filmés sur les six continents
about... other cultures, the third world, how they all depend their lives on their religion, AND "our" World, how fucked up it really is... It's all so shocking... but yeah it's showing the REALITY
it was such a good trailer... what dorks could have turned it off!!!!!
Hey, Infinitonada,
maybe you could upload it again with a different title or mix it A BIT so that they have nothing tocomplain about? You Tube is starting ti be SO lame :/
Sadly, WMG (WARNER MUSIC GROUP), banned the audio soundtrack of the trailer because it violate terms of copyright. In the "More info" box, i specified that the trailer is a homework made for the faculty whit no commercial use.

@Infinitonada Jajaja, buena explicación... nunca comprenderé cómo esta gente puede tener algo en contra de que la gente vea este tipo de clips y sienta curiosidad por ver una película que, de otra manera, caería en el más profundo de los olvidos...
Best movie to show off Blu-ray ever. And arguably the best movie ever. Moves me to tears every time I see it. I can't wait for Ron Fricke's next project.
There is a new Baraka coming out in 2009! it was also filmed in the same Super High definition 70mm film, know as Todd-AO, it's actually 65mm film and 5mm is for the sound track, this will be a master piece like the first Baraka for sure.
Baraka is an ancient Islamic Sufi word, which can be translated "as a blessing, or the breath, or the essence of life from which the evolutionary process unfolds.
That is amazing, the Japanese have the 4k-2k video system in place now, twices the resolution of our 1080p HD system, do you have a link to the new Baraka film on Blue Ray? I must buy it!
This movie was awe inspiring but the extra scenes brought light to some view points I disagree with. The last line by the director said something along the lines that you can do anything in this world. (say the americans with million dollar gear and travel money to go film outsourced labor shops in china.
this would have to be of the most inspirational films i have every seen, just watch and you get to see how extraordinary the world is, with the diverse cultures and shit, and how some place have not changed in 100ssss of years,,,,

Strange, for me this was the most wanderlust invoking film I had ever, ever seen... You'd have to see the whole film to feel like that, I'd suppose, though.
This movie is utterly amazing! So many colors there are on this small planet somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Life is true magic! And quantum physics too
No... I thought of the Mortal Kombat character named Baraka. You know, I had no idea Baraka means "Blessing" because of how ugly the character looks and, especially, because of how disturbing this movie is, but I guess it's a blessing to find revelation through torment, maybe.
