As soon as Abbott puts the guy in the ring, the camera man at the corner of the ring kept his camera and his face pointed towards where Probert was sitting instead of focusing on what was happening in the ring at that moment. Security would of tried to stop Abbott the minute he grabbed the guy instead of waiting for Probert to enter the ring. Watch the black camera man and you'll see what i mean.

As tough as Probert is, in his prime, if he fought a similar MMA fighter, he'd get tooled. MMA trained fighter and hockey enforcers are two different classes. How long does your average hockey fight go before they're gased? 1 minute maybe?

A fantasy world to think that a professional fighter with a 600+ LB bench press can handle a hockey player? It is also important that we discuss the fighters only in their prime...not now that they are older, injured, or have lost some will to fight...men mature into different people, and so do they appreciate the sport of fighting differently.
The point is...Probert and Abbott are both great fighters with a great tradition of honoring the challenge, but in different styles and sports...CHEERS to both of them!

In most of my life I was a hockey player, and a damn good one...I loved to scrape.
Went to war and got my foot shot off,...they put it back on but I could never skate the same...I miss it with all of what's left of me.
I like Probert, I got drunk with him a few times...played a lot of cards.

first of all ronibugs you have no idea what probert can do off the ice. it took 7 cops and two tasers to bring him down just enough to be subdued. probert is a fighter on and off the ice. his stamina and endurance is legendary. when tank farts he is wore out. probert in a ring, on the ice or in the alley, beats abbott!!

As I've gone through these posts, I have never laughed so hard. There are people that actually believe in a real life fight that Probert would have a chance. If this was real and not a put on, Probert would have multiple injuries to the brain and possibly end up dead. This is not Semenko or Domi or Brown or Kocur. This man could actually kill him.

I'm a huge Probert fan but in a way you can tell it was staged. As soon as Abbott puts the guy in the ring, the camera man at the corner of the ring kept his camera and his face pointed towards where Probert was sitting instead of focusing on what was happening in the ring at that moment. Security would of tried to stop Abbott the minute he grabbed the guy instead of waiting for Probert to enter the ring. Watch the black camera man and you'll see what i mean.
