A used G35x goes for around $23k, but a used G37x is around $28. Is it worth $5k for a 25hp increase?

I feel like the 2007 g35 sedan's are some of the best deals out there. You basicly get the same car as a g37 for ALOT less. The 25hp increase isn't really noticable because the torque is still the same.

@123vr4racer I bought a 2007 G35S in January, i couldn't agree more that it is absolutely one of the best bang-4-buck cars EVER. The 22 hp difference is non-existent between the 37 and 35. Mine came completely loaded, Nav, rear back up camera, magn. paddles, HID's, black on black, basically every option on the list, with reasonable mileage, all for 17K. How can you go wrong with that? The car handles like its on rails and will blow the doors off 95% of the cars on the road today.. I love my G

you can jsut put a racing chip and a new exhaust for 500 max and you get more than 25hp in the g35, then again you can do the same in the g37 and make it go like hell

@ redtail5- exhaust is over 1500 and that "chip" is called cobb accessport and its another 500 plus you need to upgrade to a better intake which is another 350, so you are completely wrong

@redtail5 do you own a G? i fuckin doubt it else you would know there isnt a "chip" its called a tune or ecu reflash and an exhaust being under 500 for a G? are you fuckin stupid? just high flow cats or test pipes alone are over 500 and you see maybe 10hp gains.a cat back is about 1500. the only way an exhaust is gonna make big gains is if you do test pipes with FI. and a tune or osiris self tune is over 500 bucks too. you are a tool kid.

BMW 3 series is damn boring. Common look at the interior when the heck are they going to put a modern look to it. And here in Cali every other car is a 3 series.

I will stick to my TL and prolly consider G35 down the line.

If I won the lottery or had millions i may have bought the 3 series over the G, that is the only way, bang for the buck the G is a much better buy. The new G37 is 99% the car the 335 is anyway for 85% the price.

i think the g35 would win in the 1/4 mile.. and the handling is way better.. it's still hard to compare the two though.. the g35 seems a lot more sportier.. while the lexus still has more of the luxury feel to it

Great car. For those who say this is a Nissan with some appointments are naive in their statements. Tour both factories and you'll quickly know why those are nowhere near the same cars. Do they share some components, sure, why not? BMW shares components throughout. That's business sense, not a bad design. Calling an Infiniti a nissan with leather is like calling a guitar a guitar just because they all look similar and share components. Hardly true.

its not really an infiniti. i mean look at lexus. the is, gs, and ls are original lexuses, but the rx, lx, gx, and es are simply rebadged toyotas with a bit of leather. the rx is a toyota harrier, the gx is the euro land cruiser, and the lx is just a land cruiser with some chrome.

there is no such thing as an original infiniti. they're just nissans with leather.

it simply won't. infiniti is a shit brand. every single one of their cars is terrible (i'm especially emphasizing the fx) and anybody who buys it is retarded.

and idk what you're talking about with 2k a year to keep it on the road. it is true that the bmw dealers charge an arm and a leg for services, so either simply bring the car to jiffy lube, or service it yourself. but in all honesty idk what you're talking about. the 3 series is considered the best car in its class by every reviewer.

What makes a BMW so much better than say an Infiniti? I am in the market for a mid size sports sedan and was considering a 3 series or G35. Reason I'm leaning towards the G35 is because it's cheaper and more reliable in the long run.

it's actually very simple what makes a bmw the best. it's the driving experience. they're not called the ultimate driving machine for nothing. the suspension is sporty while being well damped at the same time. while many cars do that, the bmw has something no other car maker has. excellent brakes. the abs system will NEVER cut in too soon, but only when you really need it.

plus, their engines (especially the 3.0 liter biturbo) are considered the best engines on sale.

and if all you care about is reliability (which if you do, don't bother buying either, go for a hyundai or something that will be reliable but nothing else) bmw has a bullet-proof warranty that really does cover a lot of problems. my friend owns an x5 and a 335i and considers them to be the most reliable vehicles he ever owned, especially compared to the volvos and mercedes' he owned before.

The interior of the BMW is unattractive and definitely not comparable to the G35. The G35 is cheaper. The G35 handles nicely on curves, and it is just really fun to drive.

I'm going with the G. BMW is just too expensive. Nicely equipped a 335 runs me in the high 40's that's nuts. Again I'm sure BMW is so called "better" than infinity but not by much in my opinion.

I've owned 3 bmw's and am about to pick up a slightly used G35. The BMW does have more steering feel and the engine is more refined, but the G35 is still excellent and delivers more bang for the buck and probably better reliability overall. It is also less flashy and less hated by non-enthusiasts on the road. You will sometimes get negative reactions from drivers when you're in a bmw. I grew tired of it.

What you say is true. You are paying thousands less upfront and even more in the long run by buying an infiniti over the 335, you lose a little cache but i've been stopped a few times in a couple weeks and asked about my G sedan.

I did the same comparison. Realized after driving all the BMW's and the infiniti G that the only comparison was the 335 to the G, but it costs alot more upfront and will costs more in the long run. Plus the G is bigger which was better for me. 3 series is basically Mazda3 size, my other car.
