I played LEGO Universe F2P, it isn't actually not that bad. I don't think it is worth the expensive subscription, I would pay if it is lower. But for now, I think this is my opinion in MMO building games:

Blockland > LEGO Universe > Roblox > Minecraft.

(Minecraft sucks! I used to like it when it was alpha, but not anymore. I am willing to trade my account for a Steam game.)

Think about it this way: They have total control over what you paid for, you own no content of the thing you paid for, they can shut down their servers any time they like. And don't even think about having nostalgia in ten years.

If you owned an ice cream shop that sold ice cream that never melted, replenished itself endlessly, allowed instant flavor swapping with other people AND you had to pay for all of these things, would you be satisfied if the ice cream sold for $5 a cone?
