  • As a chiptune this is a good tune but as someone already pointed out Fields of Gold is a slow and mellow song and sounds quite out of place played in the style of upbeat chiptune. I even liked the chord changes and key change but looking at it as a whole this style doesn't fit the song.

  • @mikosoft Ok, thanks for the advice!

  • Loved it!!! Superb!

  • @hottipott - Thanks!

  • i thought it sounded good and i don't even like this song :o i don't know why everyone else is so harsh about it lol, good job :)

  • @marshasayshihi - Thanks! :)

  • HORRIBLE song to try and chiptune

  • @th3legendofzelda - Do you mean that you dislike the original, or just think it shouldn't be used in a chiptune mix? i've never really cared too much for the original, this is based mostly on the ryan & rachel o'donnel cover.

  • @HardbeatAcoylte well im wasn't criticizing your chiptune skills, because you were spot on with the melody and harmony of the song, but fields of gold is a slower song, with a low amount of percussion which makes for a drawn out and winey chiptune pitch and for a dull song. Try an upbeat song first with some kind of percussion

  • @th3legendofzelda - Ok, thanks for the advice =)

  • absolutely awful

  • @desrib49 - just wondering, are you a chiptune fan? admittedly i still have a long way to go to compare my chiptune stuff with those who are more accomplished at it

  • @HardbeatAcolyte No, after listening to this, chiptunes do not appear to be my thing. Whatever floats your boat though!

  • @desrib49 - no worries :)
