I've been to shanghai and i gotta tell ya its the shittest place in the world. full of garbage, and pollution. boy, i dont know how the chinese cope with that nasty air.
Wow, it'd love to live in this city or Hong Kong. Too bad im living in a declining empire like America right now, China might not be a very free country but hey, at least they're not hipocrites or just plain ignorantes like most Americans who believe that their country is actually not only very but the most free. Neither China nor America are free countries in comparison to the netherlands or French.
No wonder why China is kicking america's ass, they're way more inteligent and educated
THE RISE OF CHINA... SO CLEAN, SO MAGNIFICENT, SO CIVILIZED...
AMERICA IS A SHITHOLE, JOBLESS STREET RIOTING, TRASHY DIRTY PEOPLE, SCUMBAGS RUNNING LOOSE, MASS UNEMPLOYMENT, HIGHEST IGNORANCE, RAMPANT FRAUD, LAWLESS GANGSTERS & THUGS, DOPE DEALERS, RAPE, MURDER, HIGHEST PRISON POPULATION ON EARTH, POLICE BRUTALITY, CORRUPT POLITICIANS, THIEVES & CRIMINALS EVERYWHERE, AMERICA IS COLLAPSING RAPIDLY, PURE INSANE MADNESS!
LONG LIVE PEACEFUL CHINA, THE LAST PROSPEROUS AND BEAUTIFUL NATION ON EARTH...
@junkification I have not experienced any of this. Perhaps you should visit America and find out the truth for yourself. Many of us would welcome you.
This is a pretty awesome ride. Toronto's Gardiner Expwy reminds me a bit of this particular drive (until you reached the tunnel), except that the pure number skyscrapers seem to go on forever and ever. Thanks for the upload!
And this is last year. Shanghai will probably be even more impressive by now and the thing is: China isn't even getting started yet (and it will be VERY impressive when they will). There are over 1 billion people in that country and the economic revolution has not even touched a fraction of them yet.
i am really honest with my comment!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys should first watch driving in shanghai and beijing and the watch driving in new dehli and mumbai. you guys will see a clear different pictures!!!!!!!!!!! really china is hard working nation!!!!!!!!!!
Great video- this is why I love YouTube. Where else would I get to see what Shanghai is like from that level? Certainly not on some Discovery Channel fluff piece. Kudos.
Looks like the elevated Gardner in Toronto. Within the first minute, that car, shooting from far left to far right... I'd see crazy shit like that on the Garden State Parkway often... namely in Orange/Newark!
shanghai is awesome. we set off fireworks right in the middle of the financial district! go to my page to see "chinese fireworks" if you wanna check it out. you can do some pretty cool stuff in china that you can't do elsewhere!
how come there are so many skyscrapers everywhere? in all major cities in N. America, there's only a concentration of skyscrapers inthe city center, and everywhere else, just flat suburbs.
@adrianroam95 'cause it is a metropolis with 20 million residents. North American cities are not comparable in this sense, for other Asian cities such as Tokyo and Seoul also have a sea of skyscrapers.
@tophergraceful hmm. the Los Angeles metropolitan area has around 15 million people and it's just suburbs as far as the eye can see. Even the NYC metro area is pretty void of skyscrapers outside of Manhattan, of course. i wonder what makes asian cities different?
@adrianroam95 The 15 million is for LA metropolitan area (including Santa Ana and Long Beach), which is a HUGE spread out area. The city itself has only 3.8 million residents. LA - Long Beach - Riverside CSA has about 17 million residents. The Yangtze delta (where Shanghai is) is slightly larger but has a population over 80 million. Tokyo and Seoul metro areas are the two biggest on earth. Seoul metro area has half of its country's population.
@adrianroam95 Nah. Let me rephrase my words a little bit:" In Asia, big cities tend to have most of the good fancy stuff(best infrastructure, skyscrapers, flyovers etc.) within their countries, bet it Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Bangkok or Mumbai. In the states they are more spread out because Americans live on wheels."
@csncmb I am not intended to compare Mumbai to other cities, it is just an example. actually Mumbai is very small in size but huge in terms of population, and it is indeed an elite city in India.
@harbin88- the songs fine. its what you liked. anyone who lives in a big city knows that there are many types of people who like many types of things. If @chinagansta doesnt like it he doesnt have to watch. By the way chinagansta, theres another g in GANGSTA not gansta. just saying....
The video was shot when driving on Yan'an elevated highway that cuts through heart of Shanghai - the best highway to be on if you new to Shanghai and want to see an overall picture of Shanghai's best skyscrapers.
thanks for the video mate! this is the city where I grow up. how i feel about it is actually beyond the words can describe. i'm working in uk right now but i'm going back to hong kong to work next month cuz i really miss my country and my hometown, Shanghai. god bless shanghai, god bless china!
i have been in city so many times and they're fuckin growing so fast and i need USA to do somethin about it..em tell you Americans they will pass us soon if we don't do somethin
It just amazes me how the Government and private investors of China has developed and built up their country, shanghai is so awesome, in my view its way better than any US city and it has more skyscrapers than New York, i really love it, cant wait to visit china, how are the living conditions in Shanghai, is housing, food, gas and clothing expensive, please let me know, great video :) really fuckin love it, 5/5.
@shv90210 Hi, I am from a city near shanghai. but now I am in Orlando, FL.As for the questions you asked about whether housing, food, gas and clothing are expensive in shanghai, I think it is very expensive. housing price has become very ridiculous. about food, I think it is not bad to get some food from big supermarket, because it is not costly when compared to USA. but if you eat in a restanrant, that might be very expensive, depending on where you eat. anyway food price is not too bad.
@shv90210 Gas is about 1.5 times more expensive than USA. As for clothing, I think I am so lucky I am in US because it is much much cheaper here. I dont know if you a name-brand lover, if not, the clothing is not expensive in China, but the quality and style might not be good. but if you want Nike, Adidas and stuff like that, it is very expensive, I would say it is at least twice as much as in USA. Well, that is all the infomation I can give you. Wish you have a good trip in SHANGHAI!
@harbin88 hi buddy, i am not trying to be desrepectful or anything, but can you change the song to something else to fit the big city more. If you dont want to its fine, this song is ok too
I think China is able to reinvent its cities cause the Government just moves millions of people out of their old buildings and relocates them. If that happened here in the US or Europe you'll have civil war. I could be wrong, but I see reports that old neighborhoods are just leveled to make room for this constructions.
