I surfed the Bay in the seventies at 20+ and I was scared every time I did. I did it to become the elite and a true waterman. My hats off to the guys who really are crazy enough to truly enjoy a big day at the Bay.
Have you guys noticed how the level of communicating has gone down over the years? I mean what the hell is going on? Look at these posts. You know why surfers say "dude?" Cause ya know they are really just rad smart like whoa nomesain? It's gotten pathetic. It's like blacks trying to act stupid so they can be cool with their friends in the ghetto. Guys. . . have a little pride. .. . there's nothing smart about being stupid.
@max7227537 I think there are many reasons why the language they are using seems unintelligent. Many of them have accents which implies that english was not their first language, also one of the Clay Marzo has asperger's which limits his communication skills. Also, the language they use is a result from where they are from. As with any place in the world, they have their own slang and their own way of speaking. They aren't trying to be anything, it's what they grew up with.
@max7227537 Jesus i'm not here to learn astrophysics from these guys, As a surfer I admire the way they surf - and believe me the top surfers in the world are leagues above everybody else, they have taken surfing to a plane far beyond what has gone before. The truth is half these kids probably did skip school to go surfing but who gives a fuck they do what they are passionate about - they excel and find meaning in a fucked up world, better than can be said for alot of degenerates these days.
3 meters? Try 10 to 15 meters... Thats about 30 to 50 feet for those with conversion disabilities... These guys are the rawest athletes on the planet...
