What is the REAL story behind Caroline and GLaDOS? Im pretty sure Caroline was somewhat forced to be made into technology herself- either that or she volunteered- she did love science, so did she want to become science? But GLaDOS refers to her as a different person, so does anyone know the REAL story?

@TheSkrillexKiller from what I know of it, GLaD0S was originally a human, Caroline. She had offered to become science, but the transformation had erased her memory of being human, which is why she considers them two different people. At one point in the game, when GLaD0S travels with you, she impulsively responds to Cave Johnson and was confused as to why she did.

I know that Caroline was placed into a robot body known as "GLaDOS" but some people like to think Caroline is Chell's mother. People think this because a project from the bring your daughter to work day section is made by Chell. So we know Chell has a parent working in Aperture science, but I wouldn't assume it to be Caroline.

Caroline's mind was made into an AI, GLaDOS, and Caroline and Cave adopted Chell. So yes, Chell is Cave and Caroline's adopted, (hence glados's saying, "You really are adopted, and that's terrible" but she is the last human too. But GLaDOS is an AI of Caroline.
