an alright game... not a true sequel, played all banjo games, loved 'em, but not so much this one, i want to see a true banjo platformer-sequel in the... hopefully, near future.
I personally love this game it's different and new but still fun. I've played Banjoe Tooie And Banjoe Kazooie and i like those too but i would want a sequel to this.
in my opinon, they killed banjo-kazooie by making the main focus of the game be on vhichles and making diffrent ones for diffrent missions. and also the physics of the game. the graphics look great, but because its not the platformer it USED to be, I don't want to get the game. they should have added a couple things to banjo kazooie for sure, but not change the genre entirely. so even though I love banjo kazooie, I won't get this cause its not banjo kazooie.
At least the next game will be like the old ones. If you watch the ending for Nuts and Bolts, Banjo and Kazooie get their old moves back in a box. It's pretty fuuny.
Oh god, Banjo-Kazooie are following the same path as Jak and Daxter did with Jak X. Not the best idea I think but all games have to change and do different ideas. It looks lame but hey, at least Rare didn't forget about the series.
Well put. However I do not agree with IGN on the learning curve. Too many games nowadays are "predictable" and easily played. I remember actually having to use my brain for the old Banjo-Kazooie games. WHICH WAS AWESOME! I miss that quality in a good game. I've been a huge fan of the classic Banjo games, and I got this game knowing it was going to be different. It is highly unique and it made me feel like a kid again. Dont compare it to the old games, look at the cover ffs. Its different
nah its a good review. Thier telling the truth and the game still got a good score. I give it a 9 though. I miss some of the platforming i admit but the vehicle selection is limitless, i should kno, i built them. lol
I'm all for shared opinions, but this game could of been better. Yes, while playing it is very addictive, but coudn't it have some sort of platforming element to it, or memorabilia for that matter.
I always dream of flying around treasure trove cove in my N&B vehicle
Flying around in old places would make the levels seem crap. Like it Spiral Mountain, you could just go beyond everything and now banjo kazooie feels so small you know. You could fly around Treasure Trove Cove and other levels in original anyway
i hate it when people say it sucks because its soo different from other ones..the thing that makes a game good is the fun and not the fact that it has to be just like the old ones
actually they didnt want to make it so you could die because they had such big levels an easily accesible high places that little kids could accidentaly jump off of so they didnt make it a game you can die in just get paralized
This game is actually REALLY good! I had my doubts at first, but then I downloaded the demo and it was actually really really fun! The only thing that isn't that good are the missions, but getting more access to Showdown Town to get more parts motivates you. It reminds me of the PS2 game "Dark Chronicles(Cloud)" where you had that robot and you could get new parts for it. I suggest you try the demo if you haven't already
I'll prolly pass on this for a while, I dont want lego building in my Platformers. What happened to Rare?... Wheres the real Banjo/Kameo style platforming that they are best at. All this building of vehicles and paper animals is getting stupid, go back to what you do best Rare and make a REAL platformer, stop trying to innovate something that doesnt need innovation. Just my opinion.
Rare: bought by Microsoft in 2002 has been losing many of the core programmers and designers that helped make their company famous ever since. They've made three games I can think for Microsoft since they were acquired in those six years and they've all been poor sequels.
Kind of makes you wonder why Microsoft keeps them on.
Casanuda , You are wrong. This game is very solid programmed. The way vehicle parts can fall of and then you can suck them back on again. The way vehicles get completly different steering depending on where vehicle parts are placed. This is truly one of the best programmed gams ever made. I can't find a single glitch. This game proves that Rare Ware can make great games even with the lack of programmers. I am so hyped about what their next game will be.
this game rocks! to all old banjo fans rare thought they would do something new and i think they have made a succes. sure its not better than kazooie or my favourite Tooie but its damn good old fun anyway"!
i love how he falls to his death at the end of the video lol...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh haha
hmph.... kind of disapointing. and that was an understatement. I miss the origional, not for the fact that it was on the N64, but for the fact that it was so open to do what you want, and i loved the large worlds. now its too big, and the vehicles just ruin it. i miss the gold-ole fashoned type when you crap out fire eggs and swat at carrots!!
disappointing rare. i'm a huge fan of the 64 versions and all your other games and i own a 360, but i definitely won't be getting this. it's NOT banjo. i'll opt for gow 2 or mirror's edge instead. thanks and hope your next production lives up.
yes it is banjo. its has banjo kazooie in the title. just because its not a platformer, doesnt mean its not a BK game. Mariokart is a mario game, CTR is a crash game, ect.
technically yes it's a banjo game, but what people mean is that it doesn't have the gameplay seen in kazooie and tooie. it's a different game with banjo in the title and all the characters
This game owns. Anyone who says this game sucks before playing it must have their head examined. The guy is right that driving tough at times but once you get used to it, it becomes easy, very easy. The first car you get is crap but I must say it's good if your new to the game, learning the controls and all. The best thing about the game is what you can create. I made a Starfox Arwing in the demo and it works! Someone even made an X-Wing and a Y-Wing from Starwars. I must give this game a 10/10.
I give it a 8.5-9.0 the vehicles are awesome but the challenges are fucking hard and the text is small. In the demo I had run into these creatures to keep them from killing this robot guy. The guy in the video is right the vehicles are hard to control and the physics are weird which made is so difficult.
how is because its not like the old banjo effects the game and how does haveing to control how u make your vehicle a bad thing its called realism Douchebag WTF and the multiplayer is better that way keeps the kids and online elitist away why did ign hire this shitty reviewer

To all of those haters out there:
Whats wrong with you people, saying 'Banjo Kazooie N&B sucks! Oh its c***. Screw Rare to h***! They ruined the games!'
Would you rather have them forget the series and never have another Banjo Kazooie game?
This game proofs that they havn't forgotten about Banjo Kazooie!
So when all of you out there are saying 'Oh Banjo Kazooie is bad now and Rare is stupid for making it' think about this.
On how they didn't forget about the series. We should thank Rare.
