for some reason everyone seems to get their kicks by makin fun of everyone else, I think if we were a little more respectful & really tried to tolerate whatever anyone wants to think or say or do, it would actually make life acceptable.. Just discovered this band via a young friend...thanks Lila! If you like W/IFS, check out Deaf School on youtube...there's a bunch of reurnion vids (what you'll be doing in 30 years with W/IFS) and at least one from 1988. They are an early '80's niche band, men and women, horns, just like W/IFS.

I saw these guys about 2 years ago at a crappy little community center. The opening acts sucked so i was outside and Jack came out and i got to talk to him. Then he took me back to meet the rest of the band. Then I went to the grocery store with Jack and the drummer so they could buy wine. It was an amazing night.

oooohhhh i just saw these guys. they played in a little run down venue with like 30 people and no stage. the power went out halfway through the show and the set turned acoustic. we were all singing along, and all standing right there with the band. it was amazing. i feel so lucky.

I think the highest he gets has got to be The Models and the Mannequins, though. I mean, it's insane. And, yeah, I've always wondered how he gets all those words in there or if he ever does. Range isn't everything, look at Johnny Cash, who had a very limited vocal range. That said Jack is a great singer, even if he is actually undead (the real reason that tour was cancelled was not because STZA stabbed him with a machete...they misplaced his coffin, so Jack had to be rushed back home before the light of day obliterated him)
