ok now i don't think jacob can be aaron, but i do think at some point we may meet a grown up aaron that will play a vital part in the show, it just seems pointless that the only person born on the island apart from c.s lewis of course! will only stay as a baby.
i beleive jacob will end up not being person but the eye of island that locke said he looked into and said it was beautiful, the opposite of black smokey, ying and yang, good vs bad, dark vs light, remember ben can communicate with both

We have only 2 season, writers have to run in very fast and quickly way to answer too many question, I heard (spoiler), that already in 5x01 will be continue story on island and off island too, and we´ll get many freakin answer than we got sometimes before, so season 5 and 6 will be absolutely interesting but I´m afraid, that there will be more sci-fi things, because Lost is definately kind of sci-fi:)
The last time the island moved, where ever in time it popped up the black rock got caught in the island whilst afloat which explains how it got there in the middle of the jungle and why widmore payed all that money to get the black rock journal which had the remaining evidence of the blacks rocks last resting place. widmore would need this as it would uncover the whereabouts of the island.
I thought Mr. Widmore was the other person responsible for Jins dead. There was one part in this episode I didn't quite get. Just when they moved the island, there was a clip of Faraday and some Jack's people on the boat. What happened to them ? And now, totally irrelevant question. Why did Kate take Aaron? Why didn't they just say, Claire died on labor ?

Yes. I saw it on Friday night too. Abso-effing- amazing, wasn't it? I'm still blown away by it. I think it may be the best super hero movie I've ever seen. And that's saying a lot considering the standards I've put Ironman up to! Apples to oranges? Not sure. Both those characters have a lot in common, when you think about it.

I was a bit annoyed with the ending, i even started making my own little endings, like when they were going to the new island after being rescued by Penny, I was like prentending to be jack "Oh my god its the same bloody island!"
And things similar to that the whole way through only because I was getting annoyed with it. I do love lost, I missed 1 episode so I have to wait till dvd so I can study up on them.
Remember earlier this season when faraday, jack, and frank are next to the plane and faraday does an experiment with someone on the freighter? they both have timer things and the woman on the freighter sends hers in a rocket, which takes much longer than its supposed to to arrive. when it arrives, we see the times are different. does anyone agree that this means that the time "zone" is different on the ocean and the island, because of, say, the kasimir effect?
i've always tought the island is like desmond said "a bloddy snowglobe" with a small door where u can go in or out, i think that's a way for the island to protect itself from being found

Awesome recap and predictions on LOST anakin1814! I personally think that Christian Shepherd is somehow connected with all the characters on that plane and who survived on the island. Hurly has the ability to see dead people and I think that is important for the next season. My question is, that if Walt is truly a ghost, then why has he aged? I also think that Jin is alive.
walt cant be a ghost cuz if he was his grandmother would be a ghost to, he has aged cuz it's been three years, on the flashfowards the oceanix spend three years before jack has his meltdown, and yes i do belive Jin is alive and even if he's dead i wont accept it
A lot of ppl are saying that they think Hurley can actually see dead ppl vs. him being crazy. So that would be really interesting if those were his "powers" and how they come to play in future episodes. I don' think Walt was a ghost though...he and Michael got off the island.

Hey I really liked the podcast! Just wanted to say a few things. I really like the growth of Suns charectar this seasons. It seems Sun and Sayid are working against each other In the future. Both are out for revange because there significant other died.I dont think Jin is dead either. When Charlie died he got a nice episode that made his charectar seem heroic. They wouldnt just kill Jin
The only thing im upset about this season is they never explained why Claire didnt get into the helicopter.

Ok, I think Jin is dead, but if he is still alive then this would of had to happen: He would of survived the explosion, but there was no ship to go to so what now? Well why else would the writers send faraday out on a raft just before the island dissapeared if it wasnt meant to do something? So if he is alive i think Faraday picks him up and they kind of just chill out in the water or something. If hes dead then Faraday is still near the island and moved with it.
I think Faraday picks him up in the raft. I have a feeling we'll see exactly what happens to that raft from Daniel's perspective in a few of the first new episodes next year.
And yeah, if he's dead, then Faraday kind of got "sucked in" with the island and moved too.
i think that jin is dead and we will never see him again i think its the same situation as ana lucia the only reason they killed her off the show is because she was aressted for dui and i believe that jin in real life just got a dui so they had to take him off the show ....i donno im just sayin what i think let me know what you think
Well, there were 3 character on that show who all got DUI's, Ana Lucia, Libby, and now Jin. The first two we know for a fact both got killed off! I don't think he's dead, but maybe that's wishing thinking on my part as I really liked his character.

i felt michael was disserviced. the writers don't care about father son relationships at all i guess. shame on them, only lovers can reunite, not parents. more than half the characters have killed someone, enough specifically michael hate. sawyer did the same thing michael did except NOT for a son.
The island is late 2004--around Christmas time. Ben arrived in Tunsia in October of 2005. Very interesting that he's savvy on all that stuff.
I agree with you on giving Michael a break. Look at how the Oceanic 6 have done stuff for their own good vs the good of the other ppl on that island. And yeah, there are a lot of father/son (or daugher) issues on the island, aren't there?

Well, I dont know about that dude. There are always sounds. You hear a chatter when the smoke comes, and whispers usually with something bad...maybe. It usually is SOMETHING guiding people. Whispers before young ben meets richard alpert, whispers when Danielle says "They're coming for the boy (Walt)".She associates whispers with the others.I tend to believe her when she speaks.I believe there are factions, Oceanic crew, Hostiles, Dharma, and Spirits. Whispers when Dharma and spirits arrive.
They have been waiting for Locke. I believe they knew John was the next leader of the island, but he did choose the wrong item. Or did he? I think Richard responded in the way he was suppose to, but he did choose the right item. To Praise locke would have steered him off. John needed to live the life he did to be the man he became.

Why is Hurley Crazy? Miles can speak to the dead. Its unsure, but we have seen instances where Christian appears to jack off the island, Charlie comes to hurley and someone recognizes him. The knowledge of the island is eating him alive.
Michael is dead, I dont believe Jin is dead either. But know that Christian wouldnt come to Jin, as Jin wasnt working for the sake of the island, Michael was. Furthermore, Christian came to Claire, Is she dead?
Ah....good points! I think my take on Hurley is that he's always had the mental health issues...and on the island, he kind of got healthy and cleared of them. But like you said, he's not the only person to see a dead person on or off that island, so it's really anybody's guess.
I think Claire is dead, btw, which is why she's hanging out with Christian.
Yea, i do believe Hurley was in the mental institution before he found the numbers, i forgot about that. But everything thats happening to him is from an outside source, not from his head. Someone saw charlie, so it cant just be him.
This is a tough one with claire. We dont know much about the island, and christian, and Jacob. If we knew abotu them we could make a theory about claire. I believe everything is tied with these spirit entities
I think a lot of those people are spirit entities too...I think Christian and Claire are both spirits now. I think Ecko, Charlie, and the other dead ppl Hugo sees are also entities...and just like Desmond could now see the flash forwards, Hugo can see the dead.
It is possible that the 6 man dinghy could have picked up survivors fromt he ship blowing up. There also was a ton of wreckage to hold on to it looked like.
It is possible that Jin was blown clear of the ship.
There are numerous accounts of people being blown out of warships that had their powder magazine ruptured and surviving.
Also there were a ton of people that jumped off that had life vests.

Yes! Very true! But I keep going back to how when Michael tried to kill himself, that the island wouldn't let him. Or how Locke has his legs back and Rose's cancer is gone. Could the island have protected him in some way? Wishful thinking on my part. But think how dramatic it would be if Sun and Jin end up reunited?

8 months is soo long! Great recap as always. I think when Ben moved the island,it's like he turned a dial to move the island into a different time like a radio tunes to another station but I got a feeling it's in the same location,but how you get back there I have no idea! Also when Ben said everybody has to come back does that include Desmond and Walt?
I actually think (IMHO) that he turned that dial to kind of open up a valve which released all of that energy just like when the hatch exploded at the end of season 2.
I would say it includes Walt but not Desmond, only because Desmond wasn't on 815 and Walt does.
It was a great episode! I wonder if that crank was supposed to kind of open a huge valve or something to allow that energy to be released? I'd imagine it would have to some ancient crank though, as the island was around forever!

The island wouldn't let Michael die, until he fulfilled his destiny. John Locke is dead.. did he fulfill his destiny? Ok maybe this is a big stretch but maybe is Ben , John the Baptist? or John the Baptist is that "Others"guy with the eyeliner Maybe John is the messiah? John gets "crucified" and is resurrected in next session by people who don't believe his message? Maybe the Others guy is telling him, some greater than I is coming
That's a very interesting theory. They do a lot of religious symbolism on this show. They touched on the idea that Locke was possible a reincarnate or something in his flash back. A reincarnate of who or what? Is he the second coming? And very true...just what is his destiny on that island?
It is weird how Ben always seems to show up out of nowhere in the "6" lives at a critical point. Like he is time traveling to get there at the right moment for his bigger agenda.
Remember on the freighter they had a book of plans to know exactly where Ben was at all times? Are they kind of like watchers of people since they can travel through space and time?
The Saywer/Juliet Rum thing was weird, you dont see if he is sad or if he thinks that Kate and them are dead or what. There is also a video out saying that He whispers something about finding his daughter in Alabama. It will be interesting to see how Ben and Jack get them all to come back to the island. I think if they bring john back he will be alive too in a Jacob/Christian way. Sun and kate will be the hardest to get back because of the children.
Believe me I would really love it if Jin was still alive but if he did manage to survive the explosion did he have enough time to swim back to the isalnd?? Also my bro came up with this theory about the isalnd, that Ben didnt move its location rather its place in time...as in its now in the same time line as Ben was when he landed in Tunisia but its still in the same place??!!! I think they don't and they have to go back to the island from the place they just got to (the asian island) because something even worse than the freighter will probably happen right before they leave, judging by the look on their faces when they are on the plane in the flashforward in part 1.
I actually think they'll get off that other island and the rest of series will be about their life off the island and them trying to get back. I also think that the really bad things that are going to happen will happen on the island itself to Sawyer, Juliet, Locke, Rose, and Bernard.
maybe the premier of next season will be the plane picking them up from the new island as something bad hapens to the original island. what do u think will happen? the island has basically dissapeared, so how will they know something bad happened? Oh, maybe faraday's raft turns up and they are all dead. Yeah, that makes sense since they were in the middle of the two time dimmensions
I think with the season premiere, we will see how "moving the island" effected the people left on the island (Juliet, Sawyer, Locke, the Others, Rose, Bernard, Miles, and Charolette) as well as what happened to Faraday.

We've talked about these theories in real time. All I can say is that I'm jealous how you practically devoured all 4 seasons of this show in the amount of time since the video aired! Now you can wait until Feb 09 like the rest of us! :)

Jin's not dead. When all 6 return to the island, Locke will resurrect like Christian. Locke committed suicide, an act of faith Ben recommends that will make all rally around him by going back to "resurrection" island.
They go, but for their own reasons.
Is the Island Atlantis? Doesn't jibe if foot is a Colossus of Rhodes remnant.

Hey man, is there going to be a new season in 2009?
I was a bit annoyed with the ending, i even started making my own little endings, like when they were going to the new island after being rescued by Penny, I was like prentending to be jack "Oh my god its the same bloody island!"
And things similar to that the whole way through only because I was getting annoyed with it. I do love lost, I missed 1 episode so I have to wait till dvd so I can study up on them.

Remember earlier this season when faraday, jack, and frank are next to the plane and faraday does an experiment with someone on the freighter? they both have timer things and the woman on the freighter sends hers in a rocket, which takes much longer than its supposed to to arrive. when it arrives, we see the times are different. does anyone agree that this means that the time "zone" is different on the ocean and the island, because of, say, the kasimir effect?

Awesome recap and predictions on LOST anakin1814! I personally think that Christian Shepherd is somehow connected with all the characters on that plane and who survived on the island. Hurly has the ability to see dead people and I think that is important for the next season. My question is, that if Walt is truly a ghost, then why has he aged? I also think that Jin is alive.

walt cant be a ghost cuz if he was his grandmother would be a ghost to, he has aged cuz it's been three years, on the flashfowards the oceanix spend three years before jack has his meltdown, and yes i do belive Jin is alive and even if he's dead i wont accept it

A lot of ppl are saying that they think Hurley can actually see dead ppl vs. him being crazy. So that would be really interesting if those were his "powers" and how they come to play in future episodes. I don' think Walt was a ghost though...he and Michael got off the island.

Hey I really liked the podcast! Just wanted to say a few things. I really like the growth of Suns charectar this seasons. It seems Sun and Sayid are working against each other In the future. Both are out for revange because there significant other died.I dont think Jin is dead either. When Charlie died he got a nice episode that made his charectar seem heroic. They wouldnt just kill Jin
The only thing im upset about this season is they never explained why Claire didnt get into the helicopter.

I think Sun's character has seen an incredible amount of growth when you think of how she started on the series.
I think Jin needs more of a heroic ending as well.
I have a feeling we'll learn more about Clarie and her behavior next season. She's been acting weird!

Ok, I think Jin is dead, but if he is still alive then this would of had to happen: He would of survived the explosion, but there was no ship to go to so what now? Well why else would the writers send faraday out on a raft just before the island dissapeared if it wasnt meant to do something? So if he is alive i think Faraday picks him up and they kind of just chill out in the water or something. If hes dead then Faraday is still near the island and moved with it.

I think Faraday picks him up in the raft. I have a feeling we'll see exactly what happens to that raft from Daniel's perspective in a few of the first new episodes next year.
And yeah, if he's dead, then Faraday kind of got "sucked in" with the island and moved too.

i think that jin is dead and we will never see him again i think its the same situation as ana lucia the only reason they killed her off the show is because she was aressted for dui and i believe that jin in real life just got a dui so they had to take him off the show ....i donno im just sayin what i think let me know what you think

Well, there were 3 character on that show who all got DUI's, Ana Lucia, Libby, and now Jin. The first two we know for a fact both got killed off! I don't think he's dead, but maybe that's wishing thinking on my part as I really liked his character.

i felt michael was disserviced. the writers don't care about father son relationships at all i guess. shame on them, only lovers can reunite, not parents. more than half the characters have killed someone, enough specifically michael hate. sawyer did the same thing michael did except NOT for a son.

The island is late 2004--around Christmas time. Ben arrived in Tunsia in October of 2005. Very interesting that he's savvy on all that stuff.
I agree with you on giving Michael a break. Look at how the Oceanic 6 have done stuff for their own good vs the good of the other ppl on that island. And yeah, there are a lot of father/son (or daugher) issues on the island, aren't there?

yeah, all the characters have terrible fathers or they aren't mentioned. i mean, they're all TERRIBLE. jin was the only one who had a nice one and he had to be ashamed of him because of his bad mother.
that's why i thought a lostie making a good father would be redeeming. booo writers, boo for listening to the dumber, whinier lost fans.

Lock comes back, becomes a spirit. I believe locke had to move the island and was killed by charles widmore, or ben. Maybe Ben had ot kill lock for him to become a spirit...

Well, I dont know about that dude. There are always sounds. You hear a chatter when the smoke comes, and whispers usually with something bad...maybe. It usually is SOMETHING guiding people. Whispers before young ben meets richard alpert, whispers when Danielle says "They're coming for the boy (Walt)".She associates whispers with the others.I tend to believe her when she speaks.I believe there are factions, Oceanic crew, Hostiles, Dharma, and Spirits. Whispers when Dharma and spirits arrive.

They have been waiting for Locke. I believe they knew John was the next leader of the island, but he did choose the wrong item. Or did he? I think Richard responded in the way he was suppose to, but he did choose the right item. To Praise locke would have steered him off. John needed to live the life he did to be the man he became.

Yup. The dead give away for Ben being moved by the island was the brown men saying "There are not foot prints".
Hmmm. Ben is sorry for making Lockes life so miserable. The reason is, everything happended to John for a reason. Him being picked on, him not dying and being abused...it was because the island was protecting him, as it protected Michael

Well i do believe Daniel had to get sucked in with the island. If he didnt, daniel died, and so did Jin. Thats the only way the writers can keep the characters going, which i do think they are going to

Why is Hurley Crazy? Miles can speak to the dead. Its unsure, but we have seen instances where Christian appears to jack off the island, Charlie comes to hurley and someone recognizes him. The knowledge of the island is eating him alive.
Michael is dead, I dont believe Jin is dead either. But know that Christian wouldnt come to Jin, as Jin wasnt working for the sake of the island, Michael was. Furthermore, Christian came to Claire, Is she dead?

Ah....good points! I think my take on Hurley is that he's always had the mental health issues...and on the island, he kind of got healthy and cleared of them. But like you said, he's not the only person to see a dead person on or off that island, so it's really anybody's guess.
I think Claire is dead, btw, which is why she's hanging out with Christian.

Yea, i do believe Hurley was in the mental institution before he found the numbers, i forgot about that. But everything thats happening to him is from an outside source, not from his head. Someone saw charlie, so it cant just be him.
This is a tough one with claire. We dont know much about the island, and christian, and Jacob. If we knew abotu them we could make a theory about claire. I believe everything is tied with these spirit entities

I think a lot of those people are spirit entities too...I think Christian and Claire are both spirits now. I think Ecko, Charlie, and the other dead ppl Hugo sees are also entities...and just like Desmond could now see the flash forwards, Hugo can see the dead.

It is possible that the 6 man dinghy could have picked up survivors fromt he ship blowing up. There also was a ton of wreckage to hold on to it looked like.
It is possible that Jin was blown clear of the ship.
There are numerous accounts of people being blown out of warships that had their powder magazine ruptured and surviving.
Also there were a ton of people that jumped off that had life vests.

Hey Gary, This was really an amazing Season Finale, I was jumping on my seat, I cried along with Sun and at the very end when tehy are about to show Lock I did the same thing you did, I kinda moved my self a little higher to try and see who it was lol...

Yes! Very true! But I keep going back to how when Michael tried to kill himself, that the island wouldn't let him. Or how Locke has his legs back and Rose's cancer is gone. Could the island have protected him in some way? Wishful thinking on my part. But think how dramatic it would be if Sun and Jin end up reunited?

8 months is soo long! Great recap as always. I think when Ben moved the island,it's like he turned a dial to move the island into a different time like a radio tunes to another station but I got a feeling it's in the same location,but how you get back there I have no idea! Also when Ben said everybody has to come back does that include Desmond and Walt?

I actually think (IMHO) that he turned that dial to kind of open up a valve which released all of that energy just like when the hatch exploded at the end of season 2.
I would say it includes Walt but not Desmond, only because Desmond wasn't on 815 and Walt does.

The island wouldn't let Michael die, until he fulfilled his destiny. John Locke is dead.. did he fulfill his destiny? Ok maybe this is a big stretch but maybe is Ben , John the Baptist? or John the Baptist is that "Others"guy with the eyeliner Maybe John is the messiah? John gets "crucified" and is resurrected in next session by people who don't believe his message? Maybe the Others guy is telling him, some greater than I is coming

That's a very interesting theory. They do a lot of religious symbolism on this show. They touched on the idea that Locke was possible a reincarnate or something in his flash back. A reincarnate of who or what? Is he the second coming? And very true...just what is his destiny on that island?

The Saywer/Juliet Rum thing was weird, you dont see if he is sad or if he thinks that Kate and them are dead or what. There is also a video out saying that He whispers something about finding his daughter in Alabama. It will be interesting to see how Ben and Jack get them all to come back to the island. I think if they bring john back he will be alive too in a Jacob/Christian way. Sun and kate will be the hardest to get back because of the children.

Believe me I would really love it if Jin was still alive but if he did manage to survive the explosion did he have enough time to swim back to the isalnd?? Also my bro came up with this theory about the isalnd, that Ben didnt move its location rather its place in time...as in its now in the same time line as Ben was when he landed in Tunisia but its still in the same place??!!! And when Ben said they all have to go back do you think this includes Desmond and Lapidus?

I think they don't and they have to go back to the island from the place they just got to (the asian island) because something even worse than the freighter will probably happen right before they leave, judging by the look on their faces when they are on the plane in the flashforward in part 1.

I actually think they'll get off that other island and the rest of series will be about their life off the island and them trying to get back. I also think that the really bad things that are going to happen will happen on the island itself to Sawyer, Juliet, Locke, Rose, and Bernard.

maybe the premier of next season will be the plane picking them up from the new island as something bad hapens to the original island. what do u think will happen? the island has basically dissapeared, so how will they know something bad happened? Oh, maybe faraday's raft turns up and they are all dead. Yeah, that makes sense since they were in the middle of the two time dimmensions

I think with the season premiere, we will see how "moving the island" effected the people left on the island (Juliet, Sawyer, Locke, the Others, Rose, Bernard, Miles, and Charolette) as well as what happened to Faraday.
