  • wake up lib dems supporters the lib lab con want a european army run by unelected communists and bilderberg nazis, the communist party slaughtered 40 + million in russia and 80+ in china, the nazis killed 10 million mostly jews in germany = goodbye to magna carta and trial by jury and free speech + free assembly and hello to labor camps, ID cards, youth training to turn your kids into spies

  • a man that you cant trust a word from this ant librel demercrats but just another tory party bring some one new and sepret from the tory scum just like this scum bag

    .

  • Well, there go my plans for applying for university in England. I guess I'll study here in Sweden... or maybe in France. Sarko looks like an awesome fella.

  • cant help but think of the fairy tale of the golden goose. not so much that he lied, politicians lie, but the fact he's ditched a promise. it's golden goose because they cut the goose open to get at all the gold, like he's turned around to get in power, but like the goose , its dead, and i think he's killed the party. people voted lib dems more because they hate the big two and its a snub at them voting 4 lib dems, but now he's PERCIEVED as worst, these people will not consider libdems an option

  • Guys...Im telling you NOW.

Vote YES to AV so we can get some smaller parties in.

And vote for UKIP in the next election.

  • NEVER TRUST AN ORANGE!

  • That is what you get when you vote for the LibLabCon. More broken promises. ;)

  • Parliament should put through a bill making it a criminal offence to state something whilst in opposition or whilst campaining and then going back on it when elected, that would be true democracy, a democracy that doesn't actually exist in the UK. But I guess I've more chance of plaiting fog.

  • Is Nick Clegg a Tory? Did he infiltrate the Lib Dem and now has shown the master plan?

  • I voted for this guy. So embarrassed :@

  • Lying 2 faced Lib Dem scumbag!

  • He made promises he knew he would need to break, nothing new there, except for the fact that there was a little hope that the LibDems might do it differently from the others...Well, no, it didn't happen. Clegg's word has less value than a dog shit

  • LMAO XD

  • I like it. A man bareface lies to the public and then tries to cover his ass when shit hits the fan, to no avail. Well done Nick Clegg. You cocked up this one. xD The students won't forgive you for this one.

  • what an absolute wanker!, if i saw this man on the street i would set him on fire! and then spit on him, NICK CLEGG SHAME ON YOU!!! SHAME ON YOU FOR TURNING BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!! CUNT

  • how bout stfu NUS and pay for what you use like anyone else

  • argh nick clegg you twat

  • Burn the Orange book!

  • fucking cunt.

  • dickhead

  • Lol 9k fees!

I will just go back to my country, buy the paper and have a nice vacation in the mean time...

  • resist, vote against, campaign against... promises to be kept.... just resign now

  • This may be a stupid point to make, but if graduates make megabucks they pay higher taxes, yes? Thus paying society back for this education? So why do we want them to pay twice?

  • If only all the students that are getting fucked over by Nick Clegg collectively assassinated him, the government couldn't imprison umpteen million people for murder. Wonder how much his additional security is going to cost the taxpayer.

The futures bright, the futures Goulash in Gulag Britons!

Isn't his U turn legally a breach of verbal contract? Shouldn't he face charges for FRAUD?

HE'D LOOK SO MUCH BETTER SWINGING FROM A LAMP POST.

    Boycott university everyone.

  • @leekmuncha No it's not a breach of verbal contract. The LD's didn't win the election. That was part of the verbal contract

  • @TheShanediesel So realistically they all just bent over and allowed themselves to be sodomised by the Tories for the assurance of a pay packet. Making them nothing more than yellow bellied grovelling rent boys eager to lap up Etonite baby gravy.

  • @leekmuncha well yeah but it isn't breaking a verbal contract

  • no more broken promises? well I promise to never vote for you again cleggy boy.

and unlike like you... I'll keep to that promise

  • Turned out the Lib Dems were totally wrong there, joining forces with the students to get more votes didn't help them win any more seats at all. Turns out the same bunch of students that didn't vote for them to win then complain when they don't get the Lib Dem policies. You are just lucky Labour didn't win again to give you even more debt.

  • SHAME ON YOU ABSTAINERS

You didn't vote for because of your principles, but you didn't vote against because of your careers.

Democracy? - I'll vote with my fists, sticks and stones from now on thanks.

  • What's he lied about the promises are on condition they win. He didn't win

  • Tuition fees just rose.. a slippery slope for the coalition government >_>

  • liar

  • Judas! Judas!! Judas!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, but Clegg sold out in exchange for the position of 'deputy prime minister'. He would have sold his grandmother for less.

He's nothing less than a political rat that must never be trusted.

  • It's funny how most of the people who say the Lib Dems betrayed them or they will never vote for them again are Labour voters just because Labour didn't stay in power. Pathetic.

  • Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughhhhhhh

  • I will remember the lib dems betrayal. They will never have my vote. I will never buy anything from our local lib dem councillors farm supplies shop, LibDem,=judas.

  • LOL

  • I can't believe he refers to his lies as 'compromise'! It's fucking duplicity!

  • Nick, don't think you'll be getting my vote again for a very long time. Liar

  • Can't believe I actually voted for this twat. Clearly, pursuing personal political ambition is far more important than sticking to your stated principles.

  • @SunshineMephisto same here.

  • You should have voted for Gordon Brown, yes his presentation skills might not be what you have been taught in the classroom, but at least the bloke was honest about Both of them. But wehay, you reap what you saw.

  • ok, i'm gonna keep this simple. If you voted for the lib dem and had no idea, then i can't blame you BUT if you voted for the Tories because your a 'Sun' read, then you deserved it. The irony of that newspaper is that they target the working class, what?! Working class being Tories?! Don't make me laugh, but it just goes to show you how stupid some people are. Anyways thats politics for you, i wanted Labour to win, but o well.

  • @tu4eva Brown was an autistic cunt and I hope he goes blind in his only eye. I read The Telegraph mate, not The Sun.

  • No More Broken Promises? = LIAR

Mr. Clegg, with all due respect, you are a damnable and damned liar! When a man's word means nothing, there is little left of the man!.

Once again Parliament has been brought into disrepute as it was with Tony Blair. British Parliament once earned the respect of the world, but now it is nothing less than a rat infested, worm ridden fleapit

And this, a vision for the future? All it has shown is what a truly power craven bunch of creeps you really are!

  • The Ramsay MacDonald of the Liberal Democrat Party, 2010.

  • It'sone thing to break a manifesto promise, as Labour did. But to make a pledge is a promise. If you are not going to keep to a pledge, you don't make it, it's that simple. Clegg, has used words like hindsight when in reality the hindsight argument is disingenuous as some Senior Liberals planned to break the pledge in the case of a hung Tory government in March when the Tory's were topping the poles, from guardian article "Revealed: Lib Dems planned before election to abandon pledge".

  • Vote green???? The Liberal Democrats cant stand up for us or themselves (will still retain judgment till after the referendum on voting reform); Labour lie and bully and control from the top, and the tories just go around kicking anyone weaker than themselves and handing the profits to themselves and friends, regardless of any consequences.

  • The fuck?????

  • OH LORD LIBERATE US FROM THE WRAITH

    OF THIS DICTATORSHIP

    KEITH 3:16

  • What Nick Clegg has done is single handedly destroyed the lib dems and handed every single lib dem voter to Labour on a silver platter for the next election, so ironic to see him lecturing us on keeping election promises, he knew full well the lib dems wouldn't win the election so didn't have to worry about breaking promises. Bare faced liar, the people who will be effected by this can't even vote, how fair is that??

  • Traitor and a liar

  • this man is a joke!

  • I hope you like your P45 Nick, because it's going to arrive on your doormat faster than you expect if you keep bending over like this. Perhaps you can be one of the first to receive test the Universal Credit. Good luck.

  • You re not a bloody bobble-head; sit still while you re being a massive hypocrite.

  • They're all same cunts and different parties are just different names under which they feed us with their lies. Don't know what's worse, democracy or anarchy:S

  • I am sad... I never thought the Liberal Democrats would support such a policy. "The poorer students will pay less than now", even if that was true, which it will not be, the policy is still very unfair. The middle class will be badly hit by such a policy £27,000 is a terrible start in life, especially when you think that that doesn't count the living expenses. And yes maybe if you study finance or economics at LSE you will be able to pay, but if you study arts or humanities well good luck!

  • Listening to this filthy unscrupulous scumbag use words like "promise" and "commitment" is actually stomach churning.

  • Listening to this filthy unscrupulous scumbag use words like "promise" and "commitment" is actually stomach churning. Nick Clegg... as good as his terd!

  • Totally unrelated, but why is there so much paper floating about behind Clegg in the beginning?

  • @jsum182 You should ask the libdems that, it was their ad.

I think its laws and legislation but I'm not sure

  • (1) With 7 million students on NUS, why is this video being viewed only by 5k people ?

    (2) I was a student at St.George's myself and sympathise very well with all the students who are going to get affected with the hike. If this hike is not stopped now its going to be disaster in the long run.

    (3) What can we all do as students to ensure the government hears us and not break the promise now. It is no point to go afterwards and argue, if we have to do something, it has to be now.

    NUS campaign?

  • @RITUKARLEKAR Demo 2010! Come down to London and march!

  • I can see Nick, every night, sweating profusely as he realises that his party is doomed, if he doesn't back Cameron, the coalition ends, and if he backs Cameron, his supporters weep. A Liberal vote is a wasted vote, you might as well have voted Tory, only difference now is you've got a tit of a man as Deputy PM

  • Prick Clegg

  • I voted Lib Dem and I feel like a complete fool.

Wonder how many Lib Dem voters would have voted Labour if they knew what they know now? I certainly would have.

  • @pmanngw

voting labour would not have made a difference since Mandelson was business secretary and was the one who initiated the browne review in the first place and argued for higher fees with the phrase to quote "excellence isnt cheap".

Labour needs a new leader and face (even now I think ed milliband doesnt have what it takes).

that said I think Prick Clegg is a slimey toser and David Cameron an Elitist toff.

  • @LoloSparks2009 labour does not need a new face, labour need to be cast down to the depths of hell, never to return & all those who would vote for them need a reality check

  • Clegg portrayed himself as someone different, someone who could be trusted not to break promises, and then he reneges on perhaps the most important thing he promised to do.

    Disgrace.

  • @GoldFilms77

Yes it's not just him, it's the WHOLE party. The Conservatives never promsised to scrap fees, but the Lib Dems did. This is a coalition government, they could block it if they wanted to, but they don't and won't.

  • This isn't Nick Clegg's fault, him and countless other Liberal MP's are opposing the rise in tuition fees, but at the end of the day the Conservatives are adamant on rising them. Nick Clegg has always stood against the rise, now people are blaming him and saying he is 'going back on his promises' when at the end of the day the Conservatives aren't going to change! Blame the Conservatives if you have to, they have never fought for students rights.

  • @GoldFilms77 Oh come off of it if he wasn't, so quick to lube up and bend over to Shameron and stood by his principals, Shameron would have formed a minority goverment, fucked it up and we could be having another election. And he could have ended up with more MP's because of it. But no, he was so blinded by the merest sniff of power. The Lib Dems are being taken for a ride by the Tories, they have virtually no say, but they have no room to manoeuvre and they have only themselves to blame!

  • @kavyman1066 How on earth would David Cameron have formed a minority government, the Conservatives did not have enough seats to form a minority government. The Lib Dems went into power because they didn't want to put the country through another election which would have resulted in delayed cuts. If there had been another election, the Conservatives would have won outright and there would be no Lib-Dem influence at all, better there be some then none.

  • @GoldFilms77 "Better some than none". That's your opinion. The Liberals are letting the Tories get away with murder by taking the blame themselves. Oh well, doesn't bother me. It's not like it's my party that's polling at 9%.

  • @GoldFilms77 well all i can say is, is every lib dem voted against the rise there wouldn't be one.

  • Dick. I'm sorry but for this short grasp of power of coalition, they will never be voted in for supporting such a stupid bill. I trusted the Lib Dems. The only way they will regain my trust is by tearing the coalition apart. That's not gonna happen though, unfortunately.

  • the ultimate irony: the party that wants PR, that wants to be that key "third choice" is going to destroy itself and only strengthen the 2-party politics in the UK for years to come. Well done there, Clegg.

  • It's not his fault. Blame David

  • Nick Clegg: The Betrayer

  • What a lying toad.

I think the LibDems took very many votes from students because of their campaigning on this issue.

  • speechless, you can fool people once, but never twice. scum

  • liar

  • If they go ahead with this it will be the end of the lib dems.

  • When the coalition government loses the next election i really wouldn't be suprised if Clegg lost his own seat. What a tosser.

  • Shameful.

  • This is a disaster for Nick Clegg, and all my Liberal Democrats (really Liberal) friends are sick to death of Clegg. For example, they feel the leadership is not listening to them on either tuition fees or free schools. They should get rid of the word 'democrat' - I admire their Liberal values (which my party, Labour, could do a lot to learn from). The word 'democrat' borders on a metaphorical offence under the Sale of Goods Act (1979)

    Dr Shibley Rahman

  • I'm supprised when I google "Hypocrite", his picture doesn't come up. Hey Google, I thought your algorithm was supposed to be amazing?

  • I blame the political ignorance of 'liberals'. If you knew more about your own tradition, you would realise that Clegg and Cameron do not make such strange bedfellows. A socialist he ain't.

  • Betrayal

  • If the Liberal Democrats either abstain from, or vote for a rise in tuition fees, it will be the end of their party.

  • @ArthurWeasleyWizard it's really interesting looking back on this comment....

  • Clegg made a stupid move forming a coalition with the tories. His reasoning? It was fair because they had the most votes between all parties. But what he didn't consider was that putting the votes of liberals towards getting the tories, the party that stands for the opposite of what liberals stand for, in power was a stab in the back and a total perversion of our votes.

Seriously. I know who I voted for, and it wasn't the conservatives!

  • @SkullXII We all feel cheated.

  • @SkullXII Hear hear

  • @SkullXII The Lib Dems are simply another small c conservative party, I guess now you may be wishing you did not waste your vote. What a betrayal of Students everywhere. in solidarity with all UK Uni Students from Australia. Keep up the struggle!!

  • @SkullXII read the orange book, in fact what Nick Clegg stands for is to the right of Thatcher, so in fact, the Tories are probably the Lib Dems natural allies. The Lib Dems are the great opportunists in British Politics. They saw Labour move to the right and hoped to capitalise by pretending to be to the left and capturing disillusioned Labour voters. However a quick check on there record in councils up and down the land should have been a warning.
