I am getting sick and tired of games like this that are made for the PC and have rediculous controls. I think I am going to invest in a XBox 360 Game Controller for PC because with all the controls that you need ready quickly like when being attacked by wolves etc, well it is hard to set the keys just right to be able to jump and move so quickly. I wish game devs would think about this stuff.

@alisonblack1977 there is built in support to use a controller. If your controller is not recognised, then use a free utility called Xpadder to play PC games with controllers.

@Teknmask it would be nice if some people can like a game for what it is and not because your hoping that you will see naked females. You know they have shops for Porn. This is a kids game as well, so of course you wont see any nudity

I tried that disabling thing in the setup but when i tryed to play again it still wouldn't grab the ledge..

Well, you disable it, but when you jump to the ledge Lara will lose control, when that happend you need to pulse E and you will have contol again, then go up and walk through the passage. n_- good luck!!!

SOLUÇÃO!

1.Desativei várias funções do display; Reflections, water effects, full screen enhancements e shadows. Voltei ao jogo mas ainda não consegui chegar à plataforma.

2. Baixei a resolução do ecrã para 1280x768.

Voltei ao jogo e finalmente consegui.

NOTA. não sei se funciona com os efeitos do display ligados, não exprimentei.

SE NÂO conseguir depois disto pode baixar ainda mais a resolução do ecrã, parece-me que o problema é da placa gráfica.

I have found the sollution. You need to disable fullscreen effects and this somehow enables :Lara to see the ledge. Good luck!

you'll see some small little vines after u go up those stairs,then you'll see to the right, then u jump there and lara should reach for it

yes, there is a medipack there.

though the pool is generally pointless, it's a good idea to practise swimming before diving to get it.

PC players have trouble here. This is what u can try;

1. disable fullscreen Effects from the options Display menu.

2. or lower the games's resolution.

Both of which u can bring back to regular setting after the jump

Not my best performance, since I rushed this clip out before anyone else could. I still hadn't gotten used to the controls. At that point I was still new to You Tube and didn't realise that childish snot nosed punks, like you, would be criticising my every mistake.

But my gameplay does improve, just see later clips. And no hard feelings, huh? Sucker o.O

@BladeRunnerBlues Yeah. lolz I figured player's performance gets better as you progress. No matter what, on your first time playing, it's either you're good at the game or you suck. so pretty much it's a hit and miss. Don't wanna insult you. When I first played Starfox Assault, I constantly died on the first level. This is a similar scenario, except you didn't constantly die.

@dialga1788 You can't really go by the stats at the end since I was exploring. Not all the footage is here, because I do edit it. Anyway, the first time I play a game, I always take my time. Because I'm enjoying the game. I don't give a damn if people think I suck or not. My only mistake was rushing to upload to youtube and showing the stats.

This video shows how to get through this level & does it effectively. Who gives a f*ck how long it took? Apparently, only pretentious snot nosed punks ;-)

Some people can't jump on a ledge in the room to the left.....A possible remedy to this problem is to disable the Fullscreen Effects from the Options, Display menu (and make Lara "see" the ledge) or lower your game's resolution.

the glitch caused me to miss the edge about a dozen times. after changing the settings, i grabbed it the first time!

Les tengo la respuesta a mi propia pregunta y a la de muchos, porque ya lo logré. Bueno lo q tienen q hacer es desactivar todos los efectos, sombra y todo eso, luego de eso, saltan exactamente en el mismo lugar q ven en este video y además presionan E o la tecla q tengan uds para agarrarse, asi sea q tengan agarre automático. Cuando presionen E, presioan la tecla para saltar inmediatemente porque ella se cae si no la suben.

Bueno espero q les halla servido esta respuesta. Es verídica.

for the ppl who r stuck at 2.36 all you do is when u r on the ledge you look back like any normal jump but press the jump button twice - that's how it worked for me and i tried it first time

You have to make sure Lara is clutching on the ledge looking back at the opening and is in the jumping position. Pretty easy on the PS2

i had the same problem. lower your resolution and turn off the fullscreen effects. if that doesn't help, i'm really sorry, it's a great game you're missing :)

One theory is that your graphics should be at a low setting. Make the jump and then reset the graphics to higher quality. I suppose you could start by making the resolution 800x600. Lower if possible.

It's not necessary to be so extremally cautious. She won't fall in any case, she will grab the ledge. And you didn't have to take sooooo long running starts, LOL.
