The GTO didnt have a twin turbo, because at that speed with those RPM's a twin turbo would have been 6 times louder then the GT500, not to mention alot faster. It wouldnt have been a fair race had the GTO had a twin turbo as it would rip even V10's possibly V12's in half. Not to mention the GT500 Is the top of the range, where as with the coupe, you gotta step up to a GTS

@Louisianamixtapeking All depends on setup and amount of boost. I wouldn't push a gt500 over just cause you've added boost, it's a 5.4 4v engine vs either a 5.7 2v or a 6.0 2v... Also, Turbo set ups have to be perfect to the tee.. Exhaust size to turbo size. Twins make good power, but from what I've seen they are best to cut lag vs single which tends to make power

But anyway if that goat had twin turbo's it would of smoked that pony, the pony is only putting 500hp stock so if the goat had twin turbo's for an example it should have been putting around 600hp at the crank if they had good twin turbo's. A good twin turbo gives you around 200hp.

@chab89 I am pushing 420 crank hp @ 90 degree temp when i was tuned, the tuner calculated my horsepower with a 10 degree temp drop and I gained 15hp... it was about 75 degrees the day i ran the cobra. All motor though no forced induction or spray. N/A

A gt500 is not a STOCK car... it has over 15k dumped into the motor and its a cobra on steroids this one is not stock at all ive ran with gt500s and they arnt that loud or fast. he has some work done ill tell you that. the supercharger isnt stock in that gt500. its kennebell after market 2.8l supercharger. stock are 2.3h so say what you want this was a good race. in a mile drag that GTO woulda came on top

On their best day I've yet to see a Ford GT500 put down anywhere neaar its claimed 500hp, id it did it would'nt run low 13's high 12's a number with minor mods a LT1. I also have a 07 ZO6 for summer and both run like hell and good enough to eat the ricers around here....

i have a 05 YJ m6 with light mods. intake stage 2 clutch no resinators to flowasters and tuned and a 01 svt was a good race from a roll. well we started as a dig idk what happened to him, then i got over and slowed down watched his headlights drop then pick back up from 40 mph i dumped her in 2nd by then he was right on me. caught up and pullled a quarter car, neck and neck he hit 5th and i hit 5th and i was out. 163 mph i hit scared the shit out of me. power to weight. simple as that

@TJDeadkid original challenger was a pony car, built to compete with the 60's mustang and camaro. nowadays, the only car built specifically as a two door coupe is the mustang. both dodge and chevy's are two door bodies based on four door chassis. my g8 is basically same car as camaro. charger = same as challenger. so, in a way, your right, but i disagree with your "look at the car and you will see the diff". it looks bulkier, but not in a different class.

On their best day I've yet to see a Ford GT500 put down anywhere neaar its claimed 500hp, id it did it would'nt run low 13's high 12's a number with minor mods a LT1. I drive a modded Mercury Montaineer AWD modded with spray and a few other gooodies in the winter, stay out of it you are fine in snow. I also have a 07 ZO6 for summer and both run like hell and good enough to eat the ricers around here....

i have a 05 YJ m6 with light mods. intake stage 2 clutch no resinators to flowasters and tuned and a 01 svt was a good race from a roll. well we started as a dig idk what happened to him, then i got over and slowed down watched his headlights drop then pick back up from 40 mph i dumped her in 2nd by then he was right on me. caught up and pullled a quarter car, neck and neck he hit 5th and i hit 5th and i was out. 163 mph i hit scared the shit out of me. power to weight. simple as that

I have an 05 GTO and have 2 buddies who have them as well my buddies 06 is turboed and I know what a Turbo sounds like and if that GTO is twin turboed then that GT 500 would have been seeing the ass end of that goat it's simple to say the goat was supercharged with a few other things done to it...I like all muscle cars but it's simple in this video the 500 is the winner hands down and let off customer he knows his power and realized he won
