Virtual DJ has TONS more features than Serato does. I bought Serato to use with my Denon S3700s which weren't running so well on VDJ. The one thing about Serato is the control - UNBEATABLE!
BTW I just got the Rane 57SL so I'm selling my Serato SL3. I recorded this mix right after I bought it so it's only 2 months old and in BRAND NEW condition. I'm selling it with brand new unopened and unused control CD's, Vinyl, installation CD, etc
It's a video of me actually mixing what you hear.. There always seems to be a slight delay between the video and the audio but it IS me mixing "Live".
I like editing some of the tracks just so that they're cleaner from my point of view but it's definately not necessary. I think either way works and it's more of a personal preference.
Nice 15 min set. Nice way to use the Denon MC6000 as a mixer and Serato together. Also with the dicer and setting all ur cue points. Must of taken a bit of time.
I know, right. That's why this weekend I told myself to just record SOMETHING. I basically just went down the line of one of my 80s House music folders and whatever was next was next.
thank you so much for keeping it alive. house music all night long. xo

Great mix ! Do you think it's better to edit your music before sending it to Serato or using the Dicers with cue points ?

As for the Denon with Serato, I got the MIDI mapping from somebody else. Including a few of my own tweaks, it was setup within 10 minutes.
