  • what a classy interviewer

  • Wow, strained dialect there Mr Cave.

  • Great Great interview.

I think I never saw such a good interview in my entire life, wish we had the same man in France.

You've been in the same room as Nick Cave Jian Ghomeshi, can I kiss your hands ?

  • this guy's a good interviewer, respect. great interview.

  • @mason031

I think it was this guy who did a very very good interview with Leonard Cohen too that's worth a look. I had to go to their site to see it though.

  • If you've read the book you know Bunny Jr is actually Bunny III.

  • @nvldctrn who??

  • who's he quoting at 10:07 I can't hear.

  • guy is becoming more and more biblical

  • @glebe3047 2/10 troll.

  • @rocknrollguru23 glebe seems to have his/her hate-on full throttle. Maybe Nick is not everyone's cup of tea, just as I don't care for Avril, but his liking her does nothing to diminish my admiration for him. In fact, Nick brought me around to Kylie. Perhaps as Avril matures, I might come to like her myself.

  • @bartonim I actually never cared for Avirl's music either, but if Nick Cave wants to listen to Avirl, by all means let him. I actually do think glebe might be trolling though.

  • @glebe3047 And what do you listen to? Your opinion is one you can freely express, but you put no substance into your words. I admire Nick, and I don't much care for Avril, but I hold nothing against him for liking her. He's honest, but you really don't seem to have much to say. I welcome a more seasoned response; you can even mail me at my youtube page, but make sure you have something valid to say.

  • sorry (fuc..english) honest man-nick cave

  • onest man- nick cave

  • I don't get Evgad's comment, what he is not allowed to mature? What's your problem?

  • Ник Кейв классный - в разные времена своего творчества у него что- то новое и он по прежнему интересен. Сейчас у него другая группа (Grinderman) - мне понравилось не всё, но зажигает!

  • lili misses a more teaching father...i m stuck in the mother role

  • WHAT!?! AVRIL!

  • i guess this is definatly the longest video i've ever watched in youtube from bginning to end :)

i love nick cave and the death of bunny munro was the best book i've ever read in a long time

  • Valerie Solanas' SCUM Manifesto is just, geez, hateful mush from start to protracted finish. Have you read it?

Glad to see it's indirectly inspired such a good book as Bunny Munro.

  • getting old man, old

  • WTF! I am wanting to watch an inerview with Nick Cave and I get an ad for the Jonas brohers... I think possibly they could target their advertising a bit better, lol

  • @sHooy1

you can just get adblock or something. I have never seen an ad on here...thank god.

  • please, could somebody translate into spanish this interview? many thanks

  • yawn

  • he looks kinda like Hugo Weaving

  • @sumerez

You mean Hugo Weaving looks like him, heh. Cave became famous before Weaving, did.

  • What a lovely interview, and it's great to see Nick smiling and engaging with people more. He remains a brilliant artist, but seems to have become a far happier and more relaxed person (at least based on interviews past and present).

  • Napanee is just outside of Belleville, which is closer to Toronto than it is to Ottawa. It's at least a 3 hour drive.

NEPEAN is right outside Ottawa. What an absolute jack ass.

  • Before I even watch this, I'm PRAYING this jackass manages to get his stuff together for an interview with Nick Cave. So far I've watched him conduct three different interviews: one with Leonard Cohen (a hero of mine), Damon Albarn (another hero of mine) and Billy Bob Thornton. He fucked the pooch at every turn.

Please, get your shit together, son~

  • @EuchridEucrow1 I'm quite surprised at your comment. I have watched a couple of interviews by Jian and frankly I thought he was one of the best interviewers i have ever seen. His interviews are intelligent, sensitive, well researched, well timed and he generally shows genuine care about the interviewee and his work. In fact, in many interviews they comment about how good his questions are and how much fun they had with him. (continued...)

  • @EuchridEucrow1 About the interviews you mention, I have only watched the one with Billy Bob Thornton and frankly I thought Jian's attitude was great. He didnt get angry with Billy Bob even though he wasnt even answering his questions, he openly discussed the problem with him in front of a live audience, always being respectful, he said he was sorry for what seemed like a simple misunderstanding. I really don't see how he could have handled the situation any better.

  • "The Death of Bunny Monroe" where can I find the audio book?

And Merci, Kiitos, Danke, Khap Khun Kapp (Thai) and Thank You for this high quality interview.

    QTV da best !

    Dr John

  • Nick Cave makes the best music in the world!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He's so awesome.

  • Oh my... Avril Lavigne. That was such a surprise, honestly I don't think he only appreciates her musically.... But! Beside the point! Wonderful interview. Touched on many points, though I wish he asked about the mustache. I sort of miss it. =[ I'm amazed at how much more entertaining this interview can be if you know about Nick Cave's life in general and how parallel Bunny's and his life can be seen as. Anyway, glad to hear from Nick again, it's been too long. (Can't WAIT for Grinderman tour!)

  • @Placebo4baby03 My mouth was wide open when I hear that too about Avril Lavigne....BUT

I looked at the interview a second time, and it 's so ibvious that he's ironic like never, i'm pretty sure about it !

I read the book, I loved it, and you can be sure that he's talking about a loooot of "things" but nothing about her music..;-)

  • i always find it funny how in 1980s interviews nick was this rude, evasive junkie whereas now he speaks like a refined high-class gentleman.

  • @evgad87 He grew up---it happens to some of us.

  • @evgad87

True, but I find it admirable that he used his success to educate himself. He's really transformed himself into some 21st century Renaissance Man.

  • @evgad87 The junk would have done that, and I suppose his youth. It'(s like John Lydon, who came across as a complete asshole well into PIL, but recent TV spots show him to be just a regular bloke. I suppose the theme of Nick's book--or one of them--the awful side of men, was something he had himself. In the end, Nick is simply a genius.

  • @evgad87 things change!

  • @evgad87 Yep. People change. Its called aging...

  • wtf he doesnt blink

  • @duderanch18237 He's a demonic puppet!

  • @duderanch18237

Yes, does. Check out 00:07 ...

  • I do love Nick's sound, style and artistry...yet, there are moments where I am uncertain if there is a kind of undertone that is his legitimate attempt at intellectually poking fun at the fundies. I sense this...but, he may just be a wonderful artist who happens to have been taken in by the theist/deist stories. Never-the-less...this does not diminish his impact on the listener. Nope nope. :D

  • his favorite book is the bible. keen :D

  • it's nick. woohoo
