Normally in a song like this the artist would draw out the last note to give it a heartfelt ending, but instead she stifles the last note in a way that makes it way more real and WAY more emotional.
I felt this way for so long. I felt I wouldn never feel the same and was scared to lose it. Apparently it wasnt my choice though. He thought he could feel better, maybe he didn't feel what I did. Guess I will never know. Take chances and don't let things go so easily. Maybe you shouldn't let them go.

In high school, I was with a really great girl but just in a bad spot in my life going through changing homes and overwhelming depression. She wanted to help but I felt as though she was trying to be a "Mother" not a "Girlfriend" so we ended up breaking up. When we did, we both cried. We remained best friends, and when I was ready, she had already moved on. I held onto that love. She committed suicide a year and a half ago. My story starts on the you tube site for "The last time I felt like this", with a simple posting to Joanna 1943. That was 2 years ago and while she lives two thousand miles away, our love has not faultered or withered. We steal time together when we can and are making plans to see if together for all times is not possible, but even if it's just twice a year, it will be enough to honor love...always.

When I was 14 I met a boy that I said I would marry someday. At 22 we married and had to boys but he walked away from us, I haven't loved anyone like that since. Been 5 years since our divorce. Still hoping there is someone else out there for me but a big part of me wonders if our love was it.

I got divorced and remarried, he got divorced... and he contacted me recently after 20 years. Says he thinks of me daily... and still after all these years wonders what if. I felt this way for so long. I felt I wouldn never feel the same and was scared to lose it. Apparently it wasnt my choice though. He thought he could feel better, maybe he didn't feel what I did. Guess I will never know. Take chances and don't let things go so easily. Maybe you shouldn't let them go.

In high school, I was with a really great girl but just in a bad spot in my life going through changing homes and overwhelming depression. She wanted to help but I felt as though she was trying to be a "Mother" not a "Girlfriend" so we ended up breaking up. When we did, we both cried. We remained best friends, and when I was ready, she had already moved on. I held onto that love. She committed suicide a year and a half ago. I miss her everyday and still haven't found that same love in 8 years.

This song when I found it hit a nerve with me... I found the one who matched me in every way. He was heaven sent, I loved him and we got very very close, but he found someone else because he was worried that our ages would be an issue with my family so he moved onto someone else. I have yet to get over the hurt even after a month the pain is still very very real. And now when I see them together it kills me. I have never loved anyone the way I loved him. I still love him, probably always will.

Boy this song says sooooooo much doesn't it. The guy I fell for and knew that i wanted to be with no matter what was someone my family said was dangerous and not worthy of me...to me he was hurting, scared and alone and we found ourselves happy when we were together and now he is gone and I miss him more than I can say and still know it is him and our hearts were and are one no matter where he is.
