They got freedom back under the Nazis. But Hitlers insane hate of the Russians stopped alot of potential. These few were recruited without Hitlers permission. They had something like 900,000 Russian recruits and growing. Several Cossack tribes also greeted the Nazis as liberators and slaughtered NKVD.
