  • @rider666dale also, this cylinder does not have a power valve, so i think it will make me have to stay in a lower gear and use the clutch a lot more as well, because it's my understanding that the power valves simply increase the bottom and midrange power hit by reducing the exhaust duration. this cylinder was originally intended for karting, and has the power valve components removed. Maybe I can get a nice power valve cylinder soon

  • @rider666dale It doesn't like getting on to the pipe and revving out, it keeps breaking up and fouling plugs, which makes it hard to be confident in the powerband. sometimes it will rev up , sometimes it won't, it has to be really warm in order to get on the pipe.

i am trying to get better at my balance and for using the clutch more in the lower gears. I will also try and pick up my own go pro with a helmet cam and make some more videos. i still don't really know how to turn the bike well!

  • @rider666dale thank you so much for the response. Yeah, I think I need to spend more time in the lower gears. THe bike keeps giving me problems though. I built it out of spare parts, it is made from a 1989, 1991, 1993, and 1999 as far as I can tell. i bought the whole thing for really really cheap, and in pieces and boxes. i had to assemble it all. the cylinder and carburetor are set up for road racing / karting, and as such I think i need to spend a lot more time jetting it.
